This show is aweome, I watched the whole season in 2 days, and now it takes more than a year to see season 5!
A lot of people compare it to vikings, my opinion is that these are 2 different series, with a different story, But this season has been much better than the last Vikings season.
I love the relationship that uhtred has with these children, one is Saxon the other Dane! with intriguing new characters, and a lot of politics.
I hope this series will last a long time because I love it! and I advise you to watch it if you haven't did!

Idk I think Turah's death being trapped in the floor is gut wrenching and Halig's death being tied to the front of that slave ship was heart breaking especially considering that he chose to go with Uthred when he was being sold into slavery.

In the show he is a different character than the books...in the books ( if I remember correctly)....Beocca has flaming red hair blind in one eye and walks with a limp....so he wouldn't do much fighting....

I love him. buuttt. u must say, I hated his accent in Season 3, luckily he toned it down a bit for season 4, but he developed an intonation at the end of certain words or sentences where it didn't make sense that there should be one there. I hate to critique him, because HE IS AMAZING.. but Lord, I wanted to smack him with that accent.

Uhtred and Jon Snow are loyal and strong, Uhtred is just smarter fighting wise. Uhtred is also just written better because the writers actually respect him and don’t want to ruin his arc. I really liked Jon Snow but season 7 and 8 screwed him over, whereas Uhtred has a strong character arc and has good dialogue.

Uhtred is actually more like Jon Snow from the books. Jon Snow in the show is bit of Moron and not intellectual like his book counterpart who’s good at politics and scheming.

It was pretty dumb, it would’ve taken only a few men and he would have had influence in the north, uhtred wouldn’t have forgotten the debt he owed him.

@@jillbill7752 He would have had influence in the North but Uhtred would have been stuck in Bebbanburgh rebuilding it. Edward's ideal scenario is Uhtred losing when trying to retake Bebbanburgh and being left with no choice but to return to his service.

Agreed. For all of the show's strengths, that bit of writing was pretty contrived. It seemed more like a "What excuse can we come up with this time to stop Uhtred from winning?" Edward had no reason to refuse Uhtred, even if he was solely out for himself. Had Uhtred succeeded, Edward would have been that much closer to a united England. Debt or not debt, it was a strategic blunder, and a moral insult to a warrior who had showed his value time and time again.

U could spend years describing this series, it was funny, intense, emotional, sad, and exhilarating. The action scenes were epic, the suspense and drama were on another level, Uthred was amazing, he was kind, friendly, loyal and honest, he always acted with dignity and honour, never once betrayed anyone despite all the betrayals he experienced, he was a great man, it was a beautiful show, very emotional and intense .

Well it will be 2 years most likely before we get to season 5 so get some of the books and read ahead.... I've read them all....and the story in the books is really good....the movie follows along the same lines fairly closely so far....far more characters in the books....and Uthred is a nicer guy than in the books....

Here after watching the season 5 and it has to be one of the greatest show ever made. GOT ending disappoints but The Last Kingdom ending was everything we ever needed. The kind of satisfaction after completing the series can't be explained. Uhtred Ragnarson is goat & favorite character. Now I'm gonna to miss this show

@@Maesterful the first scene in episode 2 I believe of season 3 when Uhtred holds Alfred hostage and talks to him is a great scene. But one of my all time favorite scenes is episode 9 season 3 when Uhtred and Alfred sit down and talk and Alfred tells Uhtred how he truly feels and has always felt.

Grace Omoregie I’d be so angry if they cancelled it and then used the bullshit excuse that it wasn’t bringing in enough new viewers. They only have to do the SLIGHTEST bit of promotion and marketing, yet they skimp on even the most minimal amount. I was pissed when they murdered the OA, but cancelling TLK would make me so mad I would have a vendetta towards whoever made the decision to cancel.

I watched them the other way round. Loved The Last Kingdom and I didn't think Vikings would be as good but it was. I can't say which show I preferred more as I love them both equally.

i watched viking first and then this series. god damn last kingdom is better, viking first 2 season could rival this show but it gets boring afterwards. the writing gotten bad and the show lost its soul when king ragnar died. but of course viking had more reowned actors and actress to start the show. but all in all i loved both but really think last kingdom is better because its get even better the more season you watched.

This show creeps very slowly into your heart. Then you fall in love with the characters, then you are interested in the history of England, read books by Bernard Cornwell and are a fan for all time.Excellent compilation in your video.

Best show on Netflix in my opinion. I love it. I literally watched an entire season in just two days. It gets better season by season.Season 4 was a little bit disappointing but I hope Uhtred in season 5 will conquer bebbanburg. @@bakersmileyface when did you stop watching? He was very arrogant in the first season and in the second season he started dropping that. He became a great warrior, he ended up being the most deserving of good things. He definitely got 100% better once he learned the ways of the Saxons

I don't understand why but I love TLK series so much. The characters are all so great. I'm so looking forward to season 5. I'm reading the books and rewatching it too. It brings so much emotion that it makes me cry. One of the best Netflix shows.

@@bakersmileyface yes and no. He gets screwed over so often it would be hard no to be a prick. But he does have a good arch. He changes quite a bit in season 3 after some pretty bad things happen to him. And half way through season 2.

As a person who has watched all of Vikings I can confidently say that TLK is better there are some characters that you will hate but Vikings just gets dumber and dumber with every season. I blame the writers but Ragnar's character in Vikings was the best character.

Most heart wrenching death was Beooca's death. I actually teared up a bit. He was a father to Uhtred .

I'm a big fan of YOURS through your "Outlander" masterpieces, and now I can add "The Last Kingdom" to my list. It's a terrific show on it's own, with only a few similarities to "The Vikings". This show/story is my absolute favorite! You have all done such an excellent job, from the writing, the story layout, the acting, the scenes, the characters, I mean the list goes on.
