What happened to Jamie in the 1st season was absolutely horrifying, I actually stopped watching it because it was just too much, it took 5 years for me to brave watching again.. but can I just bring up what happened to Claire? She's always been the strongest 1, and for her to be broken the way she was, to me, was the most horrific thing I've ever seen

I still think Jons story was nearly perfect. Even season 8. But he shouldve become the king of the seven kingdoms and not leave beyond the wall. Aside from that and the shithole of an episode that was the battle for winterfell, season 8 was okay (although really rushed) in terms of plot.

It was the symbol Athelstan had in the Vikings which makes him so awe inspiring. Vikings a group so native , brute and territorial and their leader Ragnar finding a friend in a person outside of his community . It made him think outside of even what his gods thought , made him question what gods wanted . He helped transform Ragnar made him realise acceptance and empathy a true symbol of change in the Viking way of thinking , a trailblazer many would say .

This worked because the Vikings respected women more than the French.

So you CAN make a historically innacurate depiction of a character and still nail it, both in writing and acting

Rollo could have killed Ragnar in battle or challenged him if he wanted to, he was simply superior in strength and fighting skill to Ragnar, but he trusted Ragnar as a leader. However, he decided to make his own history and spread the Viking seed throughout Europe. 😃 And also, Rollo saved Ragnar's life several times during battles...
