Because it's actually objective. A principle of news delivery that many modern journalists have given up on. To present the information as factually and fairly as you can and allow your audience to make up its own conclusions. Places like Fox News and MSNBC seem more often than not to start with the conclusion and then work backwards from there.

Everything I have read and watched the last few years has shown The Left and our corrupt "Leaders" as nothing more than lies and propaganda to profit, control, divide, and cause more War. the biden/obama/WEF regime should be held accountable for starting all of this. It is wildly counterintuitive that giving news channels 24 hours to work with resulted in them providing LESS information. But here we are.
@Nostripe361
@Nostripe361 3 ай бұрын
@@tamlandipper29the issue is that having 24 hour news channels leads to two problems. 1. Many times there is not enough news on that day to fill 24 hours leading them to making much about nothing or dragging out info to make the news “last longer” 2. Gives you less time to fact check. Modern news pushes you to be first to put it out to get views and ad revenue. As such you don’t have time to double check before releasing news. Better to release reports now and apologize later than just double check and be late reporting the news

Keep in mind, in WW2 dismissing generals was common and you basically had 6 weeks to succeed, get killed, or be dismissed and the higher ups were not bothered by any of those outcomes. Key here though was that dismissal was rarely career-ender outside of well deserved cases.

I've heard parallels drawn between Syrskyi and Zaluzhny and American Civil War generals Grant and McClellan. McClellan was cautious, and keen to keep his troops as intact as possible while Grant was aggressive and did earn himself a butcher nickname for constantly pushing his troops into the fight. However, it was Grant that won the war, pushing into the South and forcing a surrender at Appomattox.

I think an overlooked part of the western aid end is that the west is not currently capable of producing artillery shells fast enough to replace the ones Ukraine uses. Defense contractors in the US have long stopped mass producing artillery shells since the military here scaled back on artillery doctrine. Artillery shells yield no profit for the western contractors, so they are not equipped to make them. So money isn't the only issue, and adding more money won't solve them all. You can't turn paper into artillery shells. It would require a complete retooling of weapon production lines, which would take at least 6 months to a year. There are simply no artillery shells to be had, and no one is making them.
@khlaps
@khlaps 3 ай бұрын
You are right but there are still some different types of shells and weapons we can supply them with. Doesn’t have to be those specific ones that we don’t produce
@Maniac742
@Maniac742 3 ай бұрын
@@khlaps Yes and no. The Ukraine is almost exclusively using NATO 155mm shells. That's what all of their artillery batteries are equipped for. We can supply them with other shells, but we'd also have to supply the batteries, which in turn would require training for them to operate. And it circles back around to the same problem. We'd be giving them limited numbers of it, so they'll just run out again. The problem is the US almost entirely abandoned artillery for air power, because we've never had to fight an opponent with adequate air defenses.
@tylerbarse2866
@tylerbarse2866 3 ай бұрын
@@Maniac742 I don't know if I'd consider Desert storm fighting an opponent with inadequate air defenses. But overall, yes. Ukraine has shown that A major flaw is with the volume at which we produce the tools of modern warfare. We do not produce weapons at a rate necessary for modern conflict.

Even though replacing Zaluzhny with Srysky may cause people to worry, leadership changes are normal and sometimes required in warfare. The best analogy I can come up with is building a house; Zaluzhny poured the foundation, but now you need Srysky that can frame it. Only time will tell how well Srysky manages his command of the AFU, but if the retreat from Avdiivka is any indication, he will do well considering how much treasure and blood Russia had to commit for a small gain.

At the moment China seems to be happy watching and waiting The first thing the rebels did when they took over the Casino and smuggling town on the border ( can't remember the name) was to round up the Chinese gangs that were running Scam Centres, targeting people in China, and handed them over to Chinese authorities. The Myanmar military has been in collusion with these gangs for years allowing them to operate freely. This was a really smart move by the rebels and seems to have bought them some goodwill.

I think you outlined it well. Zhaluzhny was a good general and did a lot to help save Ukraine, but I do wonder if in the counteroffensive it was too risk-averse. He treated his forces like family, and didn't want to put them in danger. And I wonder if this limited success. Syrsky treats his forces like a sports team. He may not be the best loved person on the team, but he goes for the goal and pushes the forces to do more. I think if we are going to retake Crimea and win the war on our terms, we're going to have to push ourselves to do more. It'll be riskier, but it will end the war more quickly, saving more Ukrainian lives, and potentially, more NATO lives.

Dude, risk-averse? They got fucking slaughtered in the counter-offensive. Zaluzhny got removed to save face for losing Avdiivka, i.e., they are using Syrsky as a fall guy. He's got family in Russia and when the time comes, he will be labelled as a Russian agent and taken out or replaced. Your counter-offensives are finished and Ukraine is taking on a purely defensive role at this point. Also, retaking Crimea? You just lost your most fortified stronghold in the south and Russia shows no signs of stopping. What is it with Ukrainians and their delusions of grandeur. You'd be lucky to keep Odessa and Kharkov after all of this is finished.

@@dannyboi4111 they took a lot of Russian's out as a bonus. But the description of how Russia finally broke into Avdiivka was harrowing. They would send small groups into houses across the grey zone during the night, bulding up forces - and eventually just sent a huge meat wave right at the Ukrainians. In some parts they were less they were less than a hundred meters away from Ukrainian positions.

also needed to mention the brilliant strategic move Russians made in Avdiivka. For months they made it seem like they will surround it and push from sides, and suddenly they cut straight through the middle, even Ukrainians did not fully expect that. It was a gamble, but I think perfectly prepared gamble and it paid off.

Thank you for drawing attention to the situation in Myanmar. A little help on the pronunciation of the name of the country, where I lived for several years. Myanmar is two syllables: myan-mah. The "y" is a consonant, so it starts like the word music. The "an" is close to the name, Ann. The Brits put the "r" at the end to elongate the "a", so the second syllable is pronounced "mah". You could say "yanmah" and then add an "M" at the beginning.
