Yes but "just" the breadbasket. It doesn't realy matter for the EU and the US or most "western" countries as they have options when it comes to food. It is not ideal but not devastating either. "the west" should probaply be more concerned about fertiliser prizes. The problem does deserve a lot more attention, as much of africa relies on the Russian and especialy Ukrainian export. That is a potential food cricis that 100% needs to be avoided. But not a direct issue for "the west" so it doesn't get as much attention.

We are fortunate enough to have the whole world standing behind us. Although neighboring nations like Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova bearing the most weight with the refugee crisis (almost 100% of them are women and children) we clearly see all support from every dignified nation. And we are immensely grateful for each and every box of humanitarian aid, every round of ammo, every weapon system and every single thing that nations around the world are providing. And it's not just "things and guns", every word matters in a fight with backwardness, stagnation, ruzzian imperialist fascism of the stinking corpse of the USSR. We want to be in the better family of nations and we're fighting for this right now. We will prevail, no doubts about it. With your help, each and everyone of you! Thank you for that! Even if you think, that you're not doing enough. If you're feeling like that, may I have a suggestion: De-putinise your government. Yep, plain and simple. Each government has their own puppets ruled by Kremlin. You know, who they are much better than myself. You can identify them by words like: "the simple people shouldn't bear consequences of the reckless behavior of one man" or similar to that. The point is: they DID NOTHING when they gave up their rights in exchange for some kind of "stability", they pay taxes financing the shells and bullets that end up in our bodies, and at the end of the day.. believe it or not.. they are mostly okay with that. Yes, there is a small minority that is clearly thinking with their own heads, but much more than 100 millions of ruzzians want Ukrainians to be eliminated as a nation. Even Hitler 2.0 said that "Ukrainian question must be resolved" (Any flashbacks from history?). By de-putinising your government you will not only help our fight, but you'll find out that you will have much much fewer stupid and unnecessary political debates in your particular country as well. Throwing spanner in the works of foreign governments is the main weapon of ruzzia for centuries. Thank you for support!

Europe in 1941 made Nazi Germany a striking force in the war against Russia, which was then the USSR. And now she was preparing and arming Ukraine for the same purpose! But they did not take into account that half of the population of Ukraine is Russian, 10% Ukrainians, and even fewer Nazis. Russia struck first, not wanting to allow war on its land, although Ukraine is also Russian land and Russia created it. The Russians have enough resources. in order not to freeze and not to starve. They don't need Euros and Dollars right now. because they cannot and no longer want to buy Western products. But Russia continues to pump oil and gas to Europe. Why do they need it? Patience and goodwill are not infinite. @@EvGaSUA You're right, and every single calorie is going to matter in the next few years. The reason why I say it is too late is the combination of a near certain global recession or depression due to short term energy and food disruption driving up prices, and the fertilizer crisis fewer people are talking about which will both reduce global yields and further increase global food prices. The fertilizer crisis will really show itself in next year's crops. At least 6 nations have already put in place some sort of food export restriction or ban. As food prices soar through the year, and get worse next year due to the fertilizer crisis, many nations are likely to put in place export bans, as they will not be able to compete with richer nations for food on the markets. That will mean that nations which aren't rich enough to buy food, or lucky enough to have good land to grow their own, will face 2 choices. Starve, or go to war for food. This is how WW3 will finally start.

@@EUenjoyer Looking at the motives for Russia to start this war, and the consequences for ending it without some version of total victory, I don't think we will see peace this year. In fact, while Russia is drawing down forces in some areas, I expect them to revert to their doctrinal roots. People think of the Russian army as a tank army, but it is not. It is really an artillery army. They will eventually regroup and rearm with conscript and reserve forces (they have 6-10 million reserves with some sort of military training) and focus on setting up artillery positions to do to all Eastern Ukrainian cities what they have done with Mauriopol and Kharkiv. It will take them at least a year, perhaps 2 or 3, before they would even consider peace that was not total victory. They'd kill millions of Ukrainians before considering peace that was not total victory. War is chaotic and hard to predict, but this has been my analysis since the beginning and I dont see anything to suggest otherwise, as much as I wish I did.

Ironically, the US has an immense amount of stable, arable lands. This will *massively* strengthen the US position, as well as potentially helping certain developing regions expand their local agriculture. Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, and perhaps parts of Asia might suffer but I think this will produce more of a shift in global supply chains and less of a harsh disruption.
