I explain why I got rid of my Minn Kota Ulterra and put a Ulterx on my boat.

Ulterra is great when it works! Once the auto deploy stops working, good luck getting it fixed in less than 3-6 months! Also make sure to bring a screwdriver out, so if it gets stuck down when you’re on the water, you can take it out of the water!

I have hydrowave livescope ducer and gt54 ducer on my ulterra never a problem

I have the new ulterra there is a big difference in power and spot lock accurately

Is that a good difference? The ulterra has an improved ability in spot lock compared to what?

That is the 60" I would assume? Did you have to modify it in any way to get it to fit on the boat?

Yes, it is the 60" shaft and I did not have to modify it at all. My boat is a 2014 Ranger Fisherman 620.

I used a quick release mounting bracket by Minn Kota. I have since sold that boat and I cannot remember the model of the mounting bracket - MK something.

where can I get the mount that you have you 360... I ordered an ultrex but i want to keep my live scope

Mine is from Transducer Shield but I think Boatlogix makes a better one than the one I have.

So, if you hadn't added the 360, you would have stayed with the Ulterra? I'm about to switch from a Motorguide Xi5 and I'm torn between the Ulterra and the Ultrex. I have no plans of adding the 360 or anything else.

Yes, I loved the deploy-stow-adjust the depth ability with the touch of a button. I also REALLY loved the flat foot pedal. Don't get me wrong, I an really liking my new Ultrex but it is very heavy and hard to stow/deploy (and I am a strong guy) and the foot pedal is very bulky.

I love the Ultrex, it is VERY responsive.

Ask a high school fishing coach I really do miss the Ulterra especially when the kids get snagged in shallow water. It is just not practical with a Mega 360 mounted on the Ulterra.

@@highschoolfishingcentral7753 Gotcha seems like they need to include it in the ulterra head and it would be the ultimate trolling motor.
