Ben and Gwen's conversation at the parking lot is one of the most criminally underrated moments of the whole series.

I loved how the Id mask was uses in this episode because it showed a creative use for them and showed us that they are not just masks

Not gonna lie I was hoping this was a full breakdown as this was always one of my favorite filler episodes whenever I binge ultimate alien I always look forward to this one.

Honestly, UAF's monster of the week type episodes with the occasional overarching plot were probably the best and most well recieved parts of it. No wonder Omniverse basically took that formula and ran with it.

This epsiode has my favorite rath line "BUT NOBODY HURTS THE SMOOTHY"

It's also just impressive on its own that they managed to make Vulkanus a threat again after what they did to him in Absolute Power.

In the original series, Vulcanus was bland but in the sequels he is one of the funnier villains. Ps,, Do you want to fly a rocket please, ask for a car, maybe after graduation'' my favorite line in this episode.

Ben talking to Gwen felt like the random night conversations I have had with my sister when I come visit her. It hits different just reflecting on how far both of us have grown in our own ways

It's official, every episode featuring mah boi Ultimate Echo Echo is a banger🗿

A fun fact is that the Golf Course obstacle looked like Ultimate Alien Eatle, somewhat foreshadowing his debut.

This was honestly one of my favorite episodes back in the day. Like I still remember being a kid and wearing my ultimatrix toy while watching this episode at my Grandma’s apartment

This was the best filler episode I hope inspecter 13 gets a good score too. The characters need more heart to heart moments.

I wish we got more of goop. Cool design. Versatile powers. And his voice is amazing. But he must be soooo difficult to animate

Watching Ultimate Alien is like watching a Justice League show it has that dark and gritty feel to it which I dig, It doesn't speak of sunshine and rainbows it speaks of badass !

This episode is one of my favourites from ultimate alien. Techadons in general are a super great concept so tied with this episode just being stellar i love it

This episode is great in how the simple premise, Ben fights robots that learn from each defeat, is able to go the full length without wearing out its welcome. The learning factor keeps Ben on his toes and forces him to come up with something new each time, like the Mr Freeze boss fight in Arkham City. The way it taps into the lore isn’t egregious and feels a natural way of combining established parts of it in fresh ways.

I feel like it deserves a little higher importance, but regardless, this is one of the best "filler" episodes of the show, so damn good

I hope you cover the episode where they handle Stockholm syndrome (catch a falling star)

Cool seeing vulkanus and my girl Julie in this episode and it is cool that ultimate echo echo shows up again honestly not a bad episode after the last two episodes of ultimate alien

Uh. Didn't expect this episode to be ranked that high. I admit, it's kinda amusing how Vulkanus of all people has stuck around for so long. He wasn't that interesting in the original series, so of all the classic villains I wouldn't have expected him.

What would make something like this better, is that Ben should've fought an entire army of techadons, using his heaviest hitters, with so many explosions.

this was a great episode and I like that vulcanus was being comedic and the techadon fight was really cool and the techadon lore is fascinating

I thought today was going to be a main channel video day. While looking at the calendar for videos that The Ink Tank posted on their Twitter, it shows a video is scheduled to be released on the main channel for today February 8. It could have been a change in scheduling or they marked it wrong on the calendar.

The techadonrobots are some of my favourite "soldier" type. case each feels ike a mini-boss, and this episode whit the adapt system was a great showon how dangerous they can be

Why on schedule, episode was planned on The Ink Tank, but it is on The Rust Bucket?

I had a dream about Kevin's first material mutation in this series and how it could've worked better. Basically all I remember is that he finds an item that partial reverts him back to human so your like "omg we've found the cure" but then the catch is for turning back he reverts back into his original form even more mutated and monsterous.

I have a slight confession, I recently watched UA, and I don't remember this episode, in fact, I remember the Simean one more, I think it was smack bang in the middle where I was annoyed at the amount of filler that this episode went over my head

I feel that Filler seen as bad term but if the filler can do something fun or explore well something not yet tapped, why not?

Gwen grows from feeling inferior to Ben with no special skills which is definitely more prominent in Lucky Girl, to being skilled magic user who feels she is in on Ben's level and Ben trusts her in that way majority of the time Max grows from keeping secrets and understanding the consequences in the form of Phil, Vilgax, the sword in the Ultimate Weapon episode and Ben's dad, otherwise he doesn't have that much a character arc and fully trusts his grandkids potential when shown the slightest bit of fighting ability. He does act a off-character at times and buttheads with certain issues with Ben but he's very consistent from start to finish Max got plenty. Gave up his secret, faced the evil that was hanging over his head for 3 decades, faced a friend peverted into a con man gleefully endangering people they initially protected, gave up his quest for an ancient mystery that he's been looking for his whole career for his family. If any character had the most consistent arc it was Max. Gwen in And Then There Were 10 is certainly different to how she is in Secret of the Omnitrix, though definitely less noticeably so. I think part of the dynamic she and Ben had was jealously over him getting the Omnitrix, which by the end isn't in her mind at all. Now that I think about it, I didn't give Gwen's initial jealousy much thought. I suppose she got over it after seeing that Ben willingly gave up the Omnitrix in the Null Void to ensure her safety. I also just remembered Tough Luck where she has a character moment where she destroys the charms because she learned to place responsibility over praise, basically the same lesson Ben learned in Washington BC. Ben getting character development is questionable considering the amount of times he learns the same lesson over and over. As for the other two, Max realizes to embrace his past in order to help Ben be a better hero. Gwen is pretty static. She hardly gets any development across Classic. And no, her learning magic isn't character development in the traditional sense. I think her first feeling down when comparing herself to Ben and the watch, getting powers, then choosing to reject them and feel herself without needing to compare to Ben is a good arc. Then she studies to get powers motivated by other factors than she did initially.

AND second episode I've never heard of before... I would quote the Doofenschmirtz "2 nickels" jokes but I'm bracing myself for the next review just in case

This is filler done right, actually using the world building in Ben 10 to tell fun and interesting stories.

Cartoons with story arcs can have good filler episodes. Look at DuckTales (2017), Avatar TLA, Tangled (2017), and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

I loved the music when Ben was getting ready to golf before using Brainstorm.
