Volume 5 could include the Marvel Team-Up series but that was published during the volume 1 issues. Could also include Ultimate Enemy, Mystery and Doom. That’s 12 issues written by Bendis starring the Ultimate Peter Parker around that time.

Those are mostly an Ultimates Book and Ultimate Doom is a practically a FF event.

I will probably get this and wait to see what is contained in volume 5. I'd rather sell this volume than try to find it later if the content or mapping is worse in volume 5

I’m waiting on vol 4 and the eventual vol 5. I understand the reason for this reprint but I’d rather have the full numbered set and whatever they’ve newly mapped within that. Thanks Omar!

I would guess ultimate team-up will be in vol 5. Regardless I'm not going to fall into the same situation as the X-Men omnibus vs the Mutant Massacre prelude so I'll wait for vol 5.

I wonder if Vol 5 will double dip into the Miles run for those couple specific issues (for those that have read it). I think that would be a great cap to include in this omnibus series.

This was my first read for the ultimate universe!…The Death of….. I have the singles for this run and TPB and now can’t wait to collect the omnibus…super excited! One more omnibus to finish it Ultimate Spider-Man!!….

Would much much rather a proper Volume 5 that will hopefully include Ultimate Marvel Team-Up and maybe even the Blockbuster arc from Ultimate X-Men.

I dunno what to do. Get this or get 5. Thinking of waiting. I mean the only differences I can think if is if they included the issues around issue 200 which is already collected in the miles omnis, maybe Ultimate end? and obviously need to take out that one is 15 which already double dips in 4.

Hard to miss, this is already such a small omnibus. Vol 5 will probably include this and some of the side series around at the time (ultimate enemy, etc) and/or double dip with the miles morales omnibus.

I'm torn with this one. I want to collect Ultimate Spider-Man, but with little details on what Volume 5 will collect, I'm feeling pressured to buy this just in case. I wish Marvel was more clear about this. I understand differentiating between event omnis and reading order omnis, I think it makes sense, but it's hard to make informed decisions about them if they're not going to give it to us straight. I'm not sure what to do here.

This is so frustrating because I love this story and it would be an absolute must buy, but knowing there's a Vol 5 coming eventually... I really don't know what to do and don't want to miss out on this if it ends up being what I'd rather have. Do folks think 5 would drop the VS issues, since it won't be an event omni? I never managed to track that down as a kid, so I definitely want that included.

I'm getting it. Worry about a vol 5 later. I'm debating that Saladin vol. Is there another after that and is it essential to the Bendis run?

There are two Bendis Miles omni's and 1 Saladin omni. There isn't enough new Miles content for a new omni yet will have to wait for the current run to end. Saladin's not necessary for the Bendis run since it comes after, but imo it's better than Bendis's run on the character.

I seriously don’t understand why this book was reprinted. Why release an omnibus before it’s prior issues are collected just to have it double dip?

It was re-printed because a lot of fans asked for it. Also, omnibus vol 4 still didn't come out, but there are already 12 OHC printed for a long time that have all the content before this omnibus. This omnibus is supposed to be after those 12 OHC, not after omnibus vol 4 (for that there will be a vol 5, apparently). So, yes, everything was properly printed before this was printed and, now, re-printed

It was printed very recently, there should be quite a lot of options at decent prices on ebay. If you live in Europe, there are often great deals on Vinted. I bought all ultimate spider man hardcovers + this omnibus there for a very very low price (less than cover price for 13 out of print books)

Also not a fan of some of the art on ultimate spider man at this time. But it is way better than other issues prior, for example. But, the art is not even an issue if you take into account it is a great story

Some people don’t want to wait. We don’t know when volume 5 will come out. It will be a different map.

@@NearMintConditionI now realise the issue is DoUSM has double dip issues from USM4 omnibus and has more issues than that found in USM4. (Namely some Avengers/Ultimates issues in DoUSM omni but not in USM4). I assume USM5 will either be the cheapest of the series as it should have by far the least number of pages (only 10 issues of USM left + the 12 other issues found in DoUSM). OR Marvel will add Miles Morales OR Hickman content in the current USM reboot run. If it’s the Hickman route, I suspect we won’t be getting USM5 for a LONG time as that runs TPB only comes this September 2024. Miles route should be unlikely as he has a separate Omnibus. So USM5 omni looking at 550 pages give it take without Miles or Hickma add on material. Whilst the rest of the USM omnis are in the 1000 pages range.
