Gingium come in Gingium it'll only cause a bit of wear on the clutch and tires. If you are going to supercharge it you might need a clutch anyway. Give the people what they want! We want a rally Miata burnout!

Gingium ! If you don't like the red on that cover, I'd suggest even stripping it off and just clear-coating it. Would look better in my opinion to be a metal finish rather than black, or even as it is ☺

There's a lot of people on the forums that have had bad experiences with turbo blankets. Exhaust housings cracking, or just the heat blanket eventually falling apart. Just a disclaimer for people wanting to buy one. Great videos man.

What re-route kit did you use? Also for reference the Miata uses a down-draft radiator. Meaning you swapped the coolant EXIT from front to back. You kept saying intake the whole video.

You should build a thin piece of metal to block the reservoir and the hard lines from the heat. Did so for my buddies supercharged NA, then cover it in the gold heat reflective tape. Should help a bit.

You get a tighter wrap if you wet it before you put it on, and then it steams off when you turn it on, I have done this three times on my motorcycles and works like a charm

with your turbo blanket it's meant to be installed on your turbo so unbolt the exhaust housing from the turbo and exhaust and the holes in the blanket there's holes they line up with the bolts then reinstall turbo housing

To round the exhaust heat management, take a look at the Swaintech TBC-EX coating for those two remaining cast parts. It's probably the best working thermal coating mere mortals can afford and it's insanely tough. Good luck at the track day & watch those temp gauges like a hawk!

You should look to invest in a Quick Jack.. Kinda expensive but it'll replace your jack and jack stands.. Also easily moved around

That fwd car you speak of when talking about the engine and what it was designed for, was in fact the protege. and I suggest you consider buying one in the future. They're very very very fun cars to have and they're cheap to own too. And you're making a mistake by using those screw on hose clamps, especially on that radiator. you could crack something since it's only one major pressure point, compared to the stock clamps.

Longitudinal is the right way round, front of the engine faces the front bumper. Transverse is what they use in an FF.

The word you were looking for with the FWD engive configuration was Longitudinal. Which is actually how it is in your Miata, in FWD cars it's Transverse.

I'm doing a flying miata turbo install on my na. I wish there was more videos / info on how the radiator , intercooler to turbo ,power steering lines and hoses gets hooked up. It's a serious cluster f***. I'm stuck there ,but I'm to far to turn back now. Ugh....sooner or later

Miata's engines are mounted longitudinally, versus a typical FWD car, the engine is mounted, laterally. I never knew that the Miata's engine was designed to be mounted, laterally in a FWD car! Cool fact, learned something new!

When the engine is placed sideways, it's called transverse mounted, when its placed forward, it's called longitudal mounted

Exhaust wrap needs to be moist when installed. If you didn't wet it before installation, you may want a do-over. Just so it stays tight.
