I always liked how MVC's Marvel rosters were more Comic oriented rather than MCU oriented.

This is good. But it's missing Megaman and Venom to make it complete.

I think I personally like this roster more than MVC2. Sure MVC2 had more characters, but I feel this game has more variety. I mean, almost half of MVC2 was Street Fighter and X Men (understandable because X Men vs Street Fighter existed). All this game is missing is Venom, Sigma, Mega Man, Thanos, and the *correct* version of Jill that we love for it to be perfect in my eyes. But hey, it’s just my opinion and most likely people will disagree with me

This roster is so slept on. Yes MVC2 is a GEM but there were alot of copy cat characters. I think they loved the 2nd one purely for nostalgia reasons. Im probably the only one that thinks this is the best game out of all the series

Tbh aside from the lack of X-men this is my favorite roster, there aren't as many obscure characters like in MvC2 and I knew most of them. So many cool new characters like Iron Fist, Amaterasu, Ghost Rider, Wright, Hsien Ko, Deadpool, Zero etc. And also DMC and more RE reps

Iron Fist and Nova were great additions for the marvel side and Vergil and Trish are great for the Capcom side!

You what would be awesome if they had all the characters in MVC2 every last one of them with these graphics and that would be the best MVC game ever

I wish the new version would have as much characters as this has. Specially because a lot of the X-men were here as well as my favorites the Darksiders; Hsien-Ko, Felicia and Morrigan.

I feel like people sometimes forget that this game is celebrating more of 2000’s Capcom than Mvc2 celebrating the 90’s. I felt like they cut most of the characters in order to add characters from the 2000’s such as Dante, Phoenix Wright, Frank West, Viewtiful Joe, Ami, and etc, and Marvel will always be marvel

This game definitely could've had a better roster. Characters from past games like Venom, B.B Hood, Iceman, Megaman, War Machine, Omega Red, Cyclops and several others should've made a return too. At least they did add some good characters for this game like Frank West, Phoenix Wright, Ghost Rider, Deadpool and Wesker.

I always go with weaker ameteratsu and zero. Not only can you get some sick combos if you swap out characters at the right time but their tri attack will defenatly land a few hits and will absolutely devastate the characters health bar if all three hit

I am fine with the 32 newcomers like Dante, Trish, Amaterasu, Viewtiful Joe, Chris, Wesker, Zero, Arthur, Spencer, C. Viper, Haggar, Hsien-Ko, Firebrand, Frank West, Phoenix Wright, Vergil, Nemesis, Deadpool, She-Hulk, Super-Skrull, Dormammu, Thor, X-23, M.O.D.O.K, Phoenix, Taskmaster, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, Nova, Rocket Raccoon and even Galactus. But everyone including myself was expecting all 56 previous characters from MvC2 to return, which didn't happen. And UMvC3's player select looks like the one from X-Men vs. Street Fighter but shown as a comic book. And I don't like it compared to the hype player select from MvC2.

I didn't mean that the older games were that much complex, but they added variety. People can easily learn the system if they would try. Having 6 buttons allowed room for more customisation in your skills, now all I have to do is pres L,L,M,H down or forward M, Launch L,M,H up, L,M,H up special repeat and the person dies without a chance for come back. BTW that was a basic combo I used for Viewtiful Joe, I have more complex combos that no one uses with him. If used right VJ is OP.

I can kind of understand why hes not in the game you see regular megaman is actually dead according to the time line, and thus he does not get put in the game the only thing that could contradict this is the inclusion of some other characters like Amaterasu and not chibituratsu but that's my theory
