Welcome to Ultimate Survival Gear! Today, I have another Salomon hiking shoes review for you guys and this is Salomon X Ultra 3 Low GTX hiking shoes. Here is the Amazon link:

Let's start with the specs of these Salomon shoes:
Synthetic
Imported
Rubber sole
Gore-Tex
Foothold : A refined last works with the reinforced top arm of the sensifit, holding your foot comfortably in place, especially moving downhill.
Stability and cushioning : The Advanced Chassis helps stabilize your heel, and it's surrounded by generous cushioning for maximum comfort on the trail.
Grip : Two different types of rubber result in better grip. A patterned area on the heel grabs terrain more aggressively, giving you more control especially on descents.
Now if you are familiar with the brand, you probably already know that Salomon shoes are of excellent quality and are designed specifically for the outdoors in mind!
If you are looking for lightweight trail running shoes, these are probably one of the best option, definitely in my top 3 best trail running shoes for sure!
The only two minor complaints that I would have about these shoes are the quick lace system, which I have never been a big fan of and also the pretty high price tag, because of the GTX. I think, since these are low, Salomon could have does without the GTX waterproofing and using their cheaper ClimaSense technology to make these shoes cheaper.

Quick note about the lacing system. You have to roll the strings around the small plastic tube and then tuck it in the small pouch on top of the shoe's tongue. Great reviews tough, as always !

Thanks for the great review. Gresat to hear that they are not too hit in summer. Thats a issue that often comes with GT. Glad to hear you tested them in Florida 👍

These were the best hiking shoes going and the lacing system is perfect, just tuck it in the tongue pocket, the only downside is the sole wears out quicker than expected, I wish they were still available

I have Merrill Moab's and these. Both are very comfortable. I like the lacing system on these and the fact they are water proof. Wet grass when I take my Chocolate Lab to the park to play the Moab's let water in. Best part was the price of my XUltras is that I got them free. My Buddy wears a 10 I wear a 9.5. These are 10's and they were to small for him and fit me like a glove. So buy them a half size larger. My Moab's are 9.5 and fit just like these Ultra 10's.

What color way do you have . Always so hard to tell on line how dark or light color palette is for most shoes. Soloman is no different.

i just cut some off the lacing tie a knot in it just leave enough to open the shoe works grand..

Love your reviews and trust. QUESTION: I am American but in China now. Just purchased Salomon x Ultra 3 In some kind of limited edition color. The tongue says "Made In India". The insole does not say Ortholite but has the Salomon Logo and says "Better". Looks like the same insole that I have in another five-year-old pair of Salomon shoes. What do you think? What do you think "Better" is?

It’s a collaboration with Toronto Canada store called “Better Gift Shop” I have a pair myself. They were selling it in China as well at some stores.

So you did a review on a shoe and spent the majority of the review talking about the laces which you didn't know how to use. Not a great review, man...
