I wish they would take the effort to just include at least one more new characters. I know that would mean getting Udon to do artwork for those characters too but I think it would help this game out greatly. The HD upgrade of HD remix wasn't bad, but the animation of that game made it look like an early 2000s Internet flash game.

I am hoping for some new modes too, like the 2 vs 1 players vs. CPU that Alpha didn't do fully fledged. Alpha 3 only had any-player-character vs. specific enemies, or specific-player-characters vs. any enemies, from what I remember.

i never liked the idea of dark or evil versions of caharacters. its like a lazy way of adding choices to the roster. instead of making new characters just change a detail or two on a preexisting one and it will make the roster look bigger. bleh. just take a little effort and make a new character.

So to review, you were livid because you thought the game would be HDRemix, a ST remake with hd graphics and small character balance changes that was intended to be the definitive version of SF2, but your okay with it now because it turns out this is actually a ST remake with hd graphics and small character balance changes that is intended to be the definitive version of SF2. I personally suspect this game will fail for the same reason HDRemix did, because people will always consider ST the definitive version and changing anything but the graphics is viewed as sacrilege by a large portion of the community. I actually quite liked HdRemix, and its my favorite version of SF2... but I'm not excited for this at all. I felt like HDRemix was enough, if you want to make another 2d SF game, go for it, but make something new, leave SF2 alone already...

I don't know but i'm really starting to get tired of reading the same stuff whether it's here or anywhere online, about the the Switch. basically all i see is: Nintendo Switch --> Less powerful than XONE or PS4 = a PIECE OF SHIT (people seem obsessed with raw processing and graphics power) People seem to dislike the idea of third party exclusive games on the Switch because its (Read above) piece of shit. I bet if this game (USF2) is exclusive for the Switch people will try to bring its value down like many are doing now, however if the game would have been announced for the PS4/XONE, people would be praising it or at least giving it less crap than now. Now as a Computer technician myself, the Switch seems to open new horizons on the game experience, those joycons believe it or not are from a technical standpoint quite innovative, but yes that doesn't matter because people wanted a powerful system. I'm gonna take a step further with all this, most of the greatest intellectual genius(Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Etc) people mankind has ever known, came up with new innovative ways of seeing thing, of thinking and you know what happened they got laughed at for thinking out of the box for taking a different approach at things(Nintendo anyone??), because everyone stayed in the same frame of mind no one dared to think outside of the box. Those people that mock the Switch today are doing the same thing that people in the past to someone like Albert Einstein for example.

I love this, it seems like no matter what they do with SF2, Capcom will never be satisfied with it: World Warrior: Can we make the boss characters playable? Champion Edition: I'm not satisfied with it, can we speed up the gameplay? Hyper Fighting: The roster is too small, let's add some more characters! New Challengers: It's not enough, let's add super moves and a secret character! Super Turbo: Let's remake it with HD graphics! HD Remix: Let's add two more characters in! And so on! lol.

I hope this gets ported to other systems and in a disc release. I know for us older players it throws us off from the game we all know and love, but the fact that for almost 30 years since SF2 came out it is still being improved on to this day. It's mind blowing really. My only issues is if the price is to high and would it kill them to make new sprites for V.Ken and E.Ryu?

weirdly the analog sticks work really well for me on kof98. I've never been able to use analog sticks for fighting before but the switch sticks are amazing. i think it's because they are so small.
