I'm assuming "no restarts" refers to not restarting from a checkpoint as dying before getting a checkpoint does not prevent the "no restarts" bonus from appearing at the end of a level.

Basically if the series stuck with the "modern sonic" course of direction. This exact music would be playing, it would be the beginning of the game, and it would open with a dramatic debriefing cutscene about the fate of the world while Crash jumps from a stealth bomber while playing The Burning Man by Wasp.

It would have been very on point for ULTRAKILL's humour, but I am glad we have a boss that can be fully played in Clash Mode, compared to say the Prime Souls, where you just one shot them.

The reason you start with no weapons at the beginning of the game is because this is how V1 was designed to fight, he just wants to use normal weapons for a challenge

I think clash mode does a specific amount of damage that the enemies HP don't go above.

That’s part of why the game feels so good to play, all the hit boxes are really big so you hit your shots way more (especially noticeable with rail cannon - you can completely miss with that thing and still kill stuff)

A lot of games do this with the player character's hitbox. If it were actually as big as the character's dimensions, you end up with lots of moments where projectiles and attacks feel like they shouldn't have landed in FP view. Just kind of a quirk about perspective. Players usually judge that sort of thing by how close it seems like the attack was to the center view of the camera, so if it technically would have hit like a shoulder, or something generally off center from the camera, it can still feel weird or unfair. Especially since 1 inch away from your shoulder and close enough to HIT your shoulder can be really a really hard thing to gague.

that’s why it’s clash mode, it’s shitty crash bandicoot (or in this case the crash of the brandicoot) that you can unlock for destroying all the boxes in the secret level, the main game is basically just faster doom
