Would be really cool, if it wasn't obvious I love Swordsmachine and seeing a juiced up version of it to really test our skills after it being the first boss (something like Gundyr in Dark Souls 3) would be fucking amazing.

I didn't know Hakita outright said this but I feel like I say it all the time to people who speculate on a god fight, not only will it probably not happen but I think whatever does end up happening will probably be much cooler anyways. ...and not only that but considering god seems to be gone/dead, I really wonder where people are getting the idea he will reappear as a boss anyways LOL

I had the most trouble in that middle arena with the Mindflayer and that room isn't effected by the valves, but yeah I'm kinda curious if I woulda had a easier time overall if I did that. Who knows, seems like its kind of just a preference thing, plus you need to take the time to hit the valves (not that much time but still a sacrifice)

@@DumpsterManVODs I honestly still find it beneficial in the left and right rooms with the added mobility, especially so in the main room because you can dashjump or storage slide much easier and you go twice as fast (also a tip for mind flayers in general: the screwdriver rail canon stops them from teleporting and hitting them with an explosive at the right time when they're charging up the 5 homing attacks will deflect them all back to her killing her practically instantly)

Anecdotes aside, people need to remember Gabriel 2 isn't meant to be an extreme challenge to veteran players, most people will not play through act 1, stop, go back, P-rank everything, get the slab revolver, fight Minos Prime, watch every HerbMessiah video, etc, etc. They're gonna just keep playing, and the time between the first and second fight will only be a couple hours at most. Gabe 2 woulda slapped me around after I had just spent an hour on Gabe 1 on my first playthrough. Also I don't necessarily agree with the "sliding dodges everything" assessment either, you still need to parry the spinning sword attack, and even his sword combos I find the last attack will generally hit me if I don't I-frame or parry it. I'm not saying it's super hard, it took me like 11 tries first time with a few times through being me just observing his moves, but the reason you find it easy is experience IMO. My only complaints are I do feel he could maybe have 10 more HP per phase and I wish he wouldn't stay in the air so long on the phase transition, but I think the boss is balanced pretty well for what I think Hakita set out to do with it.

I still don't agree with this at all. Hakita has even said he doesn't find this to be the case, he said most first time players are spending ~30 minutes on Gabe 2, and I've even talked to some people who took hours on him. Maybe if you somehow found or looked up the optimal strategy for how to beat him, then yeah, but I think if you just barely scraped by on Gabe 1, you're not gonna magically be cracked at Gabe 2, his attacks have almost no similarities, the only similarity is his specific weaknesses, which its not even guaranteed you figured out from the first fight, even the terminal doesn't tell you exactly how to beat him, it just tells you some tips.

Meh, most low-tier enemies die so fast that I don't really see the value in parrying them unless I'm at low health and even still since Maurice does a volley it doesn't feel that worth it to me, you basically always take a health tax to parry. It's not a bad thing, it's just not part of my gameplan, I always just nailgun or shotgun swap Maurice to death. Frankly the way you worded this feels unnecessary though, of course I KNOW I can parry them I'm not an idiot, I just don't.

It's definitely part of it. Especially 5-1 felt like it was begging for more whiplash usage

Yeah first time I tried P-Ranking 5-3 and didn't know about the nerf, I was just constantly dying for like no reason

I think it's more because the scoring system hs been reworked so that it's harder to reach higher style ranks.

See I somehow wasn't having trouble with style it was more just staying alive AND playing fast and being stylish which feels more difficult now without whiplash. (Not in a bad way tho IMO)

i have most of my p-ranking act 2 problem from the time, its way tighter now

The minos corpse belonged to the kind of a whole layer of hell, the the leviathan is just there I guess

Some have speculated the heart of the Leviathan might be related to the next prime sanctum but I dunno. It still seems like Sisyphus is by far the most likely option, but we'll see.

I agree in general and for this reason I do think it will be Sisyphus or related to Sisyphus, but we only have one prime boss to go off of so far, who knows what will happen for P-2, it doesn't necessarily have to follow a pattern.

@@leo37194 the leviathan is made up of the sullen, all the souls that have given up fighting for air inside the overflowed river styx of 5-2, and the heart is the souls trying to rise and escape before gabriel pinned it to the leviathan with his spears, its not "just there" if you read the lore tab of it. the criteria for a prime soul isnt "the great things someone/something did" it's a manifestation of pure will and power of the soul, the soul of billions of suffering humans combined into 1 vessel could definitely be enough to become a prime soul

5-1 was one of the hardest for me, I just hate the water movement, and that middle arena with the Mindflayer is evil. I wouldn't say 5-2 boils down to "you just suck at Ferryman" it has a pretty stringent time requirement, you can lose time in all sorts of ways, but being good at Ferryman helps make it up.

@@DumpsterManVODs you should totally learn to do mindflayer instakills it really helps in dealing with them.

@@DumpsterManVODs If you struggle with mindflayers, try sticking a magnet into them and using the rocket launcher. It's by far the most consistent way to kill them.

I just spam the whiplash and projectile boost in her face with a dash. Astonishingly enough, she doesn't melee as much if you're basically hugging her
