Ultralight topwater fishing for anything that bites is something I have not done a lot of in recent months. Before, I would always go topwater fishing for any fish, from poppers to stickbaits and everything else that I can use on the surface of the water - for me, topwater fishing is probably the most fun and visual way to fish.

Tip, I burn the end of braid to make a knot. It's smaller lower profile. Can't do it with Kevlar line as it won't burn so have to do a knot.

I've had varying results over the years and found that with the knot, it's just safer...shimano does the exact same thing...just kinda bulky for the smaller sizes though. I should have used thinner braid, but I have so much of this 100lb braid. :|

Can recommend the Malosi Minion and Echo lures (Australian), works absolutely amazing in the flats here in Thailand... bit pricey tho
