Yep and the creator stated that. Later seasons when ben gets ultimate way big with the color changes it relates to the mid 90s Ultraman shows when they started doing the red/blue/white colors. Entire ben 10 show took slog of influence form Ultraman franchise. Device fo turn into alien, avg 3 mins, blinks when timer is about to end.

@dungeonmaster16 to add to what you've said, Way Big's species is known as the T'okustars, which itself is derived from tokusatsu, the subgenre that Ultraman popularized. Additionally, while Way Big's appearances in Alien Force and Ultimate Alien are more simpler, his design from the Classic series and Omniverse are the closest in terms of inspiration from Ultraman. Plus, Omniverse Way Big speaks in a Japanese accent, unlike his counterparts from previous shows, further tying the connections to Ultraman.

hey atleast on the brightside atleast the baby kaiju isn't a baby Birdon otherwise it could've been worse. for Context Birdon is an Ultraman Kaiju from Ultraman Leo and i kid you not. Birdon single handedly killed the entire Ultra-Brothers who are considered to be The Elite Team of ultra's and it killed them all including Leo and gave Ultraman Zoffy the worst possible death to an ultra.

Not the first Ultraman thing made in the USA. There's also Ultraman: The Adventure Begins, a pilot movie for a co-production with Hanna-Barbera, and Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero, a 13-episode live action series largely remaking Ultraman 1966 episodes. There's also Ultraman: Towards The Future, another 13 episode live action series, but this one was made in Australia and has exclusively new Kaiju. This seems to be the most successful as it did have American TV play as well as a toyline and SNES game. The concept of Ultraman Rising has actually been in the works for a long time. Shannon Tindle created the pitch in 2001, but under the title Made In Japan and with a hero called Gamma Man, as he believed he wouldn't get the licence to use Ultraman, but still wanted to make a closely inspired movie. It was picked up by Sony Pictures Animation in the 2010s, however they cancelled it, allowing Shannon to pitch it to other studios. Netflix heard the pitch and noticed the Ultraman influence, and set Shannon up with Tsuburaya executives who apparently loved the pitch.
