Check out the Ultraman: Rising trailer for a look at the upcoming animated film starring Christopher Sean (Ken Sato/Ultraman), Gedde Watanabe (Professor Sato), Tamlyn Tomita (Emiko), Keone Young (Dr. Onda), and Julia Harriman (Ami).
With Tokyo under siege from rising monster attacks, baseball star Ken Sato returns home to take on the mantle of Ultraman. But the titanic superhero meets his match when he reluctantly adopts a 35-foot-tall, fire-breathing baby kaiju. Sato must rise above his ego to balance work and parenthood while protecting the baby from forces bent on exploiting her for their own dark plans. In partnership with Netflix, Tsuburaya Productions, and Industrial Light & Magic, Ultraman: Rising is written by Shannon Tindle and Marc Haimes, directed by Shannon Tindle, and co-directed by John Aoshima.
Ultraman: Rising debuts on Netflix on June 14, 2024.

Love it ties to the ultraman timeline 50 years how Ken's father was the previous ultraman and now his son inherited the mantle of ultraman but it's different now he is raising a kaiju that human and monster can co exist and a external threat from government agencies threatened that very balance.

⁠@@Savagewolverthe original series ended back in the 60. A directed continuation will be ultraman mebius which takes place years after from the Showa ultramans. Since ultraman zero enter and travel the multiverses, each universes has it own history of ultraman like ultraman tiga went back to the 60s, meet tsuburaya, tsuburaya told the story how he meet ultraman, base that meeting into a show, than ultraman tiga team up with that ultraman, ultraman went back home and tiga went back to his time wondering if ultraman made it back home. In short every universe has its own version of the original ultraman and its own continuity following after him like the Netflix/manga version.
