Got Umidigi Power 3 for almost 11 months..and pretty good phone with massive battery..

You say you are unsure about reliability of Umidigi phones. I have been using Umidigi 1Pro for 2 years now with no problems at all. Battery lasts a full day and still takes around two hours to fully charge. For the price Umidigi are hard to beat. I would recommend anyone unsure about them to go for it. Unless you want to pay five or six times the price for a brand name.

Looks like another solid budget phone from Umidigi. It looks as good as the Outikel C21 and not far behind some of the budget Xiaomi phones.

Alex if you want to know how fast the fingerprint works, you have to make sure the lock screen open first and then use the fingerprint. The delay between fingerprint and screen lighting up is why it appears to be slow

I have had my Umidigi A9 Pro 6GB for a couple of weeks now. I bought it to replace my A7 Pro simply because the camera is better. I love the macro lens and the wide angle lens. My A7Pro is still good except the fingerprint scanner failed. In other respects the A7Pro was great and still is but the A9 Pro is even better. But your review is excellent. Thank you. PS I am sorry my previous phone was an A5 Pro...not an A7 Pro.

Been using a Umidigi A5 Pro for about a year & so far so good. No real issues. :)

i want to upgrade from my samsung A5 which is getting a bit on the slow side.. I'm afraid that I would by this one and realise that like many Chinese phones it will be locked to apps like netflix or other streaming services, should that be a concern or not in the case of the Umidigi phones?

I had two A7's batteries swell so I've recently picked up an A9 pro to replace the last swollen battery A7. Nice phones for the price, not a fan of the new ones with "beyond dreams" on the back. Umidigi has a pretty good thing going.

I have a7 & a9 for the price they're ok but the speaker could've been a bit better, not having image stabilisation is pathetic and maximum screen brightness is often not as bright as wanted. Being able to take 2 Sims & an SD card is a big plus. For the price acceptable but if it had stabilisation, better speaker (or 2 even better) plus brighter screen that would really lift it to a new level.

Umidigi has been around for me about 10 years and they are pretty good. I have quite a number of their phone for sometime accept one that died on me. A possibility I put on a over power charger that spoiled it.

Great Review - HELP! - I just got this phone and love it except I tried to get ATT service. They said they did not recognize the brand and would not give me a sim/account. The only tower near me is an ATT tower. This phone has the bands I need. I see where you look at the bands, but I could not find that menu in my phone - where can I find that? I read that T-Mobile will accept this brand. Mint Mobile will also - but both say they do not use this ATT tower. Is there any hack I can do to get service that will use the ATT tower?? I am so disappointed - there must be a way to get ATT service with this phone. Please help

I like your videos but one criticism here. The Notification-LED is an important feature in a phone. Nowadays a lot of manufacturers leave it out. It would be helpful if you could mention the existence or non-existence of it.

My phone which is Umigidi A7pro had a problem this morning, I used it yesterday night and this morning to on it, the phone did not on to charge it the phone did not charge.... Please who knows what happen to it.

mine crashes all the time and I contacted the seller on aliexpress and never got a reply. So I use it to listen to spotify. I'm not happy about it but the stuff that works (I'm not techy, I'm 66) works really well and I think if I just got a dud and a bad seller. Thank you for the review.

Great video as always. Day light photos are looking good. But I agree, Xiaomi would be a better choice over this one.

Watching this review on my umidigi bison. It seemed to take a few weeks to get adapted, but now, after a month, it seems to have begun to integrate all the data and apps together and isn't so slow. The speaker works better or worse depending on the day. The fingerprint scanner works. Overall, my experience with umidigi product is positive. So there. ???

How good is the phone when connecting to wifi and bluetooth?

I have this phone. They shipped a faulty phone to me and.. oh boy, you don't want to deal with their customer service. Much better phones are out there, don't be fooled by the cheap price. There is a reason to it and the reason is that they use second grade parts with no QA.

I like it! Regarding the macro lens, I use my macro lens on Huawei P30 pro all the time... as an alternative to using a stereomicroscope on experiments. But maybe not many people do that :P

I had a umidigi F1 for 2 years now. I just ordered the 6/128 version of this phone as a replacement. I would have kept my F1 for much longer, but I dropped it 1500 times, and of course, finally, I cracked the screen. The F1 is almost identical specs with 2 notable differences. Bigger 5150mh battery and absolute GARBAGE Camera with the worst focus in the world. So I am happy this one has a better camera. Editted... I miss my F1 because it feels like the battery lasted much longer. On paper the difference isn't that big but it feels like it.

I've tried a lot of Xiaomi devices and the more I tried them, the more I consider Umidigi (at least in budget phones). Xiaomi's LCDs are a joke: despite being brighter, they have way worse colours. The build quality on Xiaomi is mainly plastic, and Umi usually uses glass and metal. Also, apart from the A series, pretty much all Umidigis have NFC, and more RAM/storage (we're still getting some 32 and 64GB above 100€ from Redmi, wtf). And the biggest difference is: SOFTWARE. I rather have a perfectly optimized stock Android than an updatable MIUI, which is heavy, bloated and slow down the device over time. Below 200€ Umidigi is the undisputed budget champion! :)

I'd rate it worth buying at around 95 bucks.

You are right about that! It may not last long. Glass at front and back has no Gorilla Glass. And no water splash proofing. One accident of dropping and it's gone.

But in Canada we can't buy any Xiaomi phones =(

Umidigi never produced a phone that lasts more than a year. If that. You're right The Redmi phones from Xiaomi provide much better value and overall quality, with updates guaranteed for at least two years.
