New subscriber. I found your channel from one of my roommates. My roommate James is a rideshare driver and we hardly see him at home because he is always in his car probably waiting for a ping at Logan airport. James is exactly everything you pointed out about a Uber/Lyft driver. I hope he listens to your suggestions. Also who wants to drive in Boston, it is the worst city to drive. Everyone looks mad and waiting to cut off another driver.

Thank you for the reminder. I've been doing this full time for the past 6 months. I'm starting to feel this isn't going to last long and I'm looking for a way out. I wish these companies actually paid us fairly but we all know big daddy uber and other companies that have us in their best interests..

Hey man I love your videos. Thanks for dropping gems. I stopped doing rideshare because I been through 2 cars of doing Uber. I drove 287,000 on a new dodge charger in 3 years. Then I drove 265,000 on a Hyundai sonata I had for 2 years. It’s not worth it. I spent so much money on repairs. I highly recommend people to do it part time. I do it every other month one day a week preferably mondays and those days I make 300.00-350.00 just once a week every other month because I don’t really need to do it since I’m in a better financial state.

Rideshare has become a joke. I started doing this in Dec 2018 (applied in Nov but had to wait on background checks) after being laid off from my full time position as an auditor in Nov 2018 to get income coming in for my family while we were living in SW Florida. I started a new auditor position in Jan 2019 in the DC area (Gained more in salary than what I was making before getting laid off), and for the first six months or so of doing this, I basically worked 40 hours a week in my full time job and close to 40 hours online between Uber and Lyft. I busted my ass doing basic Lyft and Uber X trips (that’s all my vehicle at the time qualified for) not knowing what I was doing at first. I then transitioned over to doing on average of 20 something online hours a week and now I do only Comfort/XL on Uber and XL/Lux on Lyft with the vehicle I use now. While some weekends are far better than others, I usually make more money in less time as I have my own strategy that works for me. From the time I lost my full time job in Nov 2018 until the present, I have more than doubled my primary income while still making on average of around $25k a year doing rideshare part time. I work from home and I don’t have a commute anymore (haven’t since March 2020). I had budgeted my maintenance and gas expenses for my normal commute and sometimes a very small portion of my rideshare income would go toward that. But for years now, the money I had budgeted has covered all of my vehicle expenses so whatever my wife and I now make when we do this in our spare time, is completely net income for us. We have a favorable tax situation as well to where it doesn’t make sense in the present time to stop driving completely. In my primary job, I will continue to make more money year over year and at some point I will completely stop doing rideshare. Probably going to transition over to something online or real estate related instead of rideshare. Until then, I cherry pick my trips, work when I can, I don’t put up with passenger bullshit (get a dash cam if you don’t have one already, trust me), I take the money I can get and that’s that. Nick you are spot on. You have to have a plan with your life. Otherwise, “fail to plan, plan to fail” 🤷🏻‍♂️

So i definitely resonate with your video, i myself have been doing uber for 3 years in the Hartford county area and its been decent.. a more recent update on my life though is unfortunately my 2020 Hyundai elantra got rear ended Aug 6th and this was a year after my transmission going on my 2018 Nissan versa... so i added the equity of the Nissan onto the Hyundai and the equity of the Nissan was $10k and i bought the Hyundai for $16k, my insurance company paid me out a $15k settlement but unfortunately i have $12k left on my Westlake loan.. So my questions/advice i would appreciate from you is, currently i am using a kia niro through the hertz rental program.. for $310 a week and doing uber full time in the Hartford county area(usually around 50 hours a week) you more or less make $1,400 I normally do it from 4am to 8am and 2pm to 5pm and 8pm to midnight. I was considering getting a rental from the hertz in Pittsfield Massachusetts and doing Uber the same amount of hours just to make it easier to pay my expenses, My credit score still has to update anyway for me to get a new car anyway, but to be honest the next time i get a car i don't even wanna use it for uber lol... Im also interested in the online stuff that you do and i feel like you could really help me with that, i would even be willing to meet face to face if im gonna be in the mass area anyway :), I'm fortunate enough to live with grandma atm and not have any big expenses to pay.. but I'm 25 and I'm trying to transitions from uber driver to entrepreneur and get my own house and all that jazz I'm assuming doing it the same amount of hours in the Boston area will net you $1,800 to $2,000 for the week no? and whatever money is left over after paying my expenses im gonna use that for online buisness stuff whatever that may be :) question

Although i agree part with what you said, the point is that you can give some useful tips to other drivers. I personally have collect a lot of private clients and make 30-50 dollar a hour. How? Riders are tired of expensive ride and long waiting time or sometimes no drivers around. Drivers can bend together and defeat uber and lyft. Uber and lyft are charging riders way too much, If We the drivers work together and form a driver base company, just by charging a little less than uber and lyft, uber and lyft will not exist

True facts about ride-sharing especially in my market It's so dead and dry people don't like to tip and it doesn't matter how much you give to these people by putting in charging ports for their phones or even given them good great customer service getting them from point A to point B. I'm tired of everything I'm tired of the lies them always say no imma give you a big tip and they never do or can you take me to the store on your way. Yeah I do it part-time I always say always going to have a regular job because at least you know you're going to get paid every week or bi-weekly. Yeah I'm sure we know somebody that's always in denial like for example my buddy swears up and down he makes over 2,000 a week the less he makes could be probably about 1500 a week however his car just broke down recently and he was taking a passenger he has over 200,000 miles drives a 2017 Nissan. The clutch just broke down and he has other car issues and I believe it all has to do with ride sharing least Drive about 100 200 300 miles a day extra.👎👎👎👎👎

These companies are just using people to finance the expense of providing a vehicle for these companies make money. In the beginning medallion taxis buying a car and driving for Uber paid, even with the cost of insurance because it eliminated the cost of the medallion and the profit the medallion holder made for the use of the medallion. Ride share ruined the medallion cab business and the investment people made in the medallions😊

Fr brother, i know uber wont last more than 6 more years. But believe or not , you could make good money in uber in BOSTON, because i drive everyday from 3am to 10am , Monday to friday and saturday from 3am to 6:30 am ( 3 hours ) and i be making between 1850 - 2200 and i have proof. From 2k that you make if you take 500$ weekly for your expenses you still get 1500$ which is pretty good. And i dont care about the miles, i got this car to put mile on it and im not even paying for it. Car top is paying my car. Nobody want to work for a company 10 hours a day. When you can drive anytime you want and make your own schedule. And in my shoes if uber comes to an end. I got my CDL license.
