I bought myself a sealed in box cobalt blue ds lite and it was like opening a time capsule. Still one of my favorite purchases

i remember i had a neighbor who also owned a ds lite and we would send each other notes and stuff, i really miss it

Hands down one of the best Nintendo consoles I ever had. I’ve had mine since 2008 and it still works very well.

Literally the most perfectly designed handheld....it was flawless.

I was in a Game store the other day and this woman was taking her son to look at a nintendo switch. She started telling him about how she used to love playing her game cube and it made me so happy hearing about her experiences as i remember playing my DS lite and Wii.

Gosh, i remember unboxing and playing it in 2009... Those were surely good times. Mario kart, mario and sonic in the olympic games, sims pets, super mario ds, and many more. I sure miss it.

This makes me feel so sad. I want to go back. My childhood was miserable but the joy things like this gave me shine bright through my life

I remember all the way back in 2007 when I got mine as a kid. I played this thing pretty much every day. So nostalgic.

This is the exact same DS I had, the nostalgia 😭 I still have it actually, although the gameboy cartridge thing is lost and it's just open, and of course the stylus is long gone. But it still works and that start up sound brought back some intense memories

I miss the DS. I remember taking mine in road-trips and I’d stay up the entire time playing Mario Kart

Dang this is crazy. This is the exact ds I got for Christmas as a kid. God this brings me so much joy and good memories. I used to play so many games on that DS and the home screen noise, God it takes me back!

Christmas 2007 my mom got me a hair dryer, I was sad because I thought she forgot the DS I wanted, but I opened it anyway. She put the DS in the hair dryer box 😂 it was the red one lol.

When you think about it now, this is a precursor to the Nintendo Switch more than the Wii was.

I don't usually get chills or anything when watching those kind of videos, but this one.... it triggered a special memory in my heart, this memory of my DS, this console has been a big part of my childhood, countless hours and hours of pokemon, zelda and many other games were played on this thing

DS Lite had the most sleek appearance ever.

Oh my gosh the memories. My first ever game console was a Nintendo DS Lite, exactly this color. It's long since broken now (freezes on the nintendo splash) but many great memories were made on that console, and even though it's broken, I still have it to this day!

I’m so happy I got to live through this era. My sister and I didn’t have phones so we got the Wii and a DS. I had a VERY NICE blue colored one and I think my sister had this exact pink but it was some sort of pink. It’s crazy that Mobile Gaming is what I use today with my iPhone. Playing games like Genshin and stuff like that. I feel like the best part about using a DS is the fact that it’s genuine and creative. You had party chats that you can use to scribble to one another or type. It had no ads and was cheaper than a Smartphone. Totally miss it all.

I remember in second grade my two best friends at the time gifted me a DS Lite, in that exact light pink color. They had DS Lites and I would always watch them play Nintendogs and Pictochat. I still have the DS to this day, it’s such a memorable gift to me.
