In some of the closer look shots, the cabochons looked like a starry night sky, and that was beautiful!

So glad for this video, I just won a square cut iolite in an auction and I didn't know all the cool things about it. Now I can't wait to receive it and test it out! The Gemstones channel is my go-to to learn before I buy(and sometimes after!). Thanks for this video and all the others!

I work with specifically with iolite, I have everything from 100% clean gem rough to 5lb cabinet peices sitting in my safe, bloodshot and cats eye as well. And they are certified so easier to sell parcels.

Got a 5 pound chatoiant light blue gem, eye clean no fractures or veiling.

I'm glad there's a video on Iolite. Iolite is a variety of Cordierite. From what I've researched on Mindat, Iolite is a name for gem grade violet-blue Cordierite. Iolite is a rarely talked about gemstone and I only have one tumbled stone of it. It has a very small amount of Hematite flakes and I wonder if I should consider it to be, "Bloodshot Iolite"?

Colour, Deep blue to purple, grey yellow, Depends on how you shine light though rough stone. Very clear and from Tanzania. And bolder like size of 500+ grams

I want to fit it to a ring. I got a cabochon iolite, a small one but still cant find a right ring for it. And with this covid-19 cant even go to marketplace to browsing for the ring -.-

You once did a video on a stone that wasn't tree agate but simular. I have that stone but can't find your video and I realy soooo bad need the name of that stone.Anyone know what im talking about??
