I now have quite a collection of Diamond Painting Pens but didn't have one quite like this, until now.
I didn't even open the box until I was recording this video so that everything was genuinely new to me.
Do wax tips really work?

I just got my pen today. I am very new at this craft, and you are very helpful! I like the pen. I would get very annoyed at having to re-wax my pink pen. This already waxed tip pen I don't have to. I did ask the company what to do when the tip had flattened out, and they said to use my fingers to reshape it; I decided just to roll it on my cover paper and shape it that way. I crafted for six hours straight and only needed to reshape it twice, and I got more of my picture done than ever before.

Hi Jim 👋 If you fill the other end with regular wax, the pen works perfectly & the wax won't come out of the pen. I love using mine on both AB's & regular drills ☺ Have fun 🎉

Fill the other end? It’s only about 1mm across! I have to try it and see how many drills I can place with a 1mm dot. 😄

I love using this type of wax tip pen for round drill paintings and special shape as it is very easy to pick up and place. I tend to fidget with square drills more so use a standard pen. It is nice for the hand to have different pens.

I just came across you video on this pen. I bought one but there was no instructions. I had no idea how to use it. Thank you for your demonstration. Will give it another go.

I have jad my pen for a while now nut dont get on woth kt. So i now make my own wax whoch picks up all drills

Thank you-I know this is from a while ago but I just got my first dp & this pen was a bonus buy-had no idea how to use it as no instructions! Didn’t know that the end was wax-thought it was plastic-& tried putting wax in the pointy end but it’s too small an opening so I thought I’d got a dud! So thanks again for this very helpful info!! I’ll go ahead & give it a go. 😊

Hi Kathy, I know someone who uses the pointy end with wax in it but, as you said the hole is tiny. Just remember not to try and push drills around with the wax end, it’s far too soft. Good luck and thanks for watching! 😊

Also, flatten out the wax end. Works A LOT better ☺

how do you keep the tip pointy. do you shape it with your finger?

I think you just let the tip wear naturally. It’s meant to work better with a fatter tip but, as you saw, I didn’t have any issues with it from the start. This was the first time that I’d tried one, so I’m hoping people who do use them a lot will add more comments in here to help others decide if it’s something for them. 😊
