It's new bike day!
Inspired have a new bike in their lineup, and it's the first 22 inch trials bike in the world - the Flow 22. Since I've been looking for a smaller bike than my Fourplay for quite some time, it was a no brainer for me to try this one, and thanks to Tartybikes I was able to get one as soon as it released.
After I had built it up, I first tested the stock combo you can buy out of the box, and then I put on my more high end parts like high-rise bars and four-piston brakes. To make a full review, I need to spend more time riding it, but I can already tell you it's the best street trials bike I've had so far.

Love watching your videos! I find the instructional ones the best I have seen. I have to admit I am more interested in learning and doing tricks than just riding now. So much so that I am thinking f selling my dual sus bike and buying a hard tail or even a trials bike like this. But in the mean time I will still be riding trails and these skills are very handy. Do you have a video on endos/stoppies? Great for sharp switchbacks I am told.

really good grippy plastic pedals are V6. It's supposed to be like the V12 but plastic. It's insane how much grip they have and the concave is super comfy. I recommend them to everyone. Really cheap too, so not even a worry if you wear it out or break it.

Oh this is so dope ! How are you finding the 22 inch vs the 24 ? Do you reckon it`s a good combo for skate parks instead of 24 inch one ?
@TheUselessTrials
@TheUselessTrials 4 жыл бұрын
Hey man! I'll try to answer both your comments here. The differences between the Arcade and Fourplay are noticable. The Arcade feels a little roomier, but also has some steeper angles, making it more aggressive in some ways. The 22" bike is a lot shorter than those bikes and mainly works for riders below 1.75 m tall. I (at 1.70 m) ride it with a longer stem and high bars to make it fit. The advantage of the shorter bike is that it's much easier to spin and control for me, as I always felt like the bigger bikes didn't quite work for me. I don't ride skate parks much, so I can't tell you which bike works better there, but I've seen plenty of people ride skate parks well on the 24" bikes. If you're not very tall, the 22 should work just as well. Be aware of the low gear ratios on trials bikes, which aren't ideal for skate parks, though.
@VickGaza
@VickGaza 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheUselessTrials Dude you are a legend ! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer all that ! I`m 1.78m tall so I think I will probably get a 24 arcade sometime next year :) I`m riding a 26 dirt jumper anyway as a dirt/street/skate park machine, so I think a 24 arcade will complement my street trials itch nicely ! I think a fourplay or flow would be more trialsy than street, where as the arcade is a bitmore street oriented but still trials capable :D Best of luck sir and looking forward to more of your vids :) Cheers!

also how do you get the chain as tight as possible? from your video looks like you only had to tighten one side but i had to do both plus the chain still sags a little...
@TheUselessTrials
@TheUselessTrials 4 жыл бұрын
What bike do you have? The chain tensioning system on my Flow is fairly simple, you just have to tension the drive side and then adjust the other until the wheel is straight. Rubbing discs are normal if your discs are bent. You can only perfectly align the caliper by looking at the air gap between the disc and pads and adjusting one bolt at a time.
@kc-me6wl
@kc-me6wl 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheUselessTrials i got exactly the same 22" as you. I realise with the chain tension, i believe my wheel needs to go back a bit more slightly as the bolts are dead center (which isn't giving the chain enough tension as its still a little lose even with the tension drives adjusted!) and i don't think its as tight as your chain looks in this video......and i still need to readjust my disc brakes again...fair bit of figuring stuff out if you have never done much messing about with bike parts before. Many thanks for the response & look forward to your next videos!

Hi Ive bought my first trials bike (Echo Mark III 24inch - was a very good price and great condition on a used one). I am racing Enduros on dirtbike, so I started with Moto trials and I also bought a trials bike for training at home in the neighborhood (not to piss off neighbors). Is there a specific setup of the bike for the beginners? I feel the bars are way to forward (very ackward feeling for me)
@TheUselessTrials
@TheUselessTrials 4 жыл бұрын
Your bike is a competition-style bike, and therefore made to be good for trials riding and nothing else. That makes them feel awkward if you're not used to it. Street-trials bikes feel far more normal, but if you want, you should be able to make yours feel a bit more normal as well by adding higher handlebars and maybe a shorter stem (depends on what's on there now). More bar height should make you feel less leaned forward. Other than that, you'll just have to get used to it. The geometry of the bike will make more sense when on the rear wheel than on two wheels. Enjoy your new toy!
