As any dedicated Brompton user will tell you, it is an impressive feat for something so well-built and reliable. I put it on the scale and mine is 8.15kg and not 7.95kg as Brompton claimed on their website may be due to the extended seat post provided.
The new Brompton T Line is exclusively available via a ballot system on Brompton.com and through selected Brompton Junction stores in London, New York, Shanghai, Singapore, and Paris. The bike will be available in two specifications, each with the option of a low and mid-rise handlebar fit. Prices start from £4,180, but a worthy investment for those who need a bike that works hard for them.

Andrew Ritchie was a young engineer who thrived on solving problems. When he moved to London, he decided there must be a better way of moving around. Looks like you have a nice collection of bikes, not to mention your guitar. The Brompton is such a great versatile bike. You can put in in the boot of your can or take it on a the train, and once you have reached your destination you can unfold it and go exploring. That’s a good complement Gordon, Brompton gives us the pocket type bike feeling where you can bring it anywhere, the folding is just magic compared to other folding bikes, appreciate your comment man, take care!

Great photography as always. Such a pleasure to watch your videos. A quick question. What is your best guess as to the thickness or the main titanium frame tube walls? 1.5mm or 2mm?

Actually it is not a chain protector, it is the rear frame protector, it is to avoid scratches from your ehook when folded.

The T line does give you a dream ride when brand new. But after a few hundred km ride, many t owners experiencing cracking noise from the head set and minor squeaking from the folding points. Seems like these are design faults as Brompton shops seem not be able to fully fix them. For the time being, perhaps P line is the best riding Brompton available until they fix the minor problems of the T line, or wait for the improved version of the T line.

I have chpt 3 v1 and not very different than p line , but olso I have a t line and is totally different than p line and if you add same upgrades you make it exceptional !! There is a KZfaq channel and the guy in New York has a t line and it use that bike a lot and haven’t got any problems !! T line I think is the best Brompton folding bike by miles compared with the other Brompton bikes and I own 6 brompton bikes . I don’t own a p line because after my checkings I realise is no point to own one !!

@@pungutacu2bani.274 I dont think it is the case for all the T line, I’m sure its minor compared to what it brings, the all new design in a titanium body is enough to just go for it and proudly own one, we’ll be checking the issue ourselves and post it here in our channel, got chpt3 ver 1 as well and after all the upgrades I am very contented with it, enjoy all your Bromptons!

@@pungutacu2bani.274 Glad you enjoy your T line. Its fabulous and can possibly give you a dream ride. Yes. The youtuber guy from NYC, Shu (think that's his name) was giving very positive comments about the T line. But have you checked his recent comments and problems he has? We have never had a chance to ride the chpt3 v1, but we assume the v4, coming out this month is a much closer design as the P line. We have owned over 9 Bromptons in the past 20 years, and we are very happy to see their innovative designs and hope they can have better quality control on their latest design. We will comment more once our V4 arrives.

I have never unpacked a Brompton, as I got my flame painted, black version, SuperlightM6LXBrompton as a finished bike from the shop, and with a long Scandinavian 600 mm seat post as standard! Since then I have rebuilt my bike so it is now down to 9,35 kilo and still with mudguards, and some ways to make it even lighter. It seems not so much above a T-line, with mudguards and only 4 gears, I have seen from films here on KZfaq? Finn. Denmark 😄

Hey Finn, good effort making your Flame lacquer even lighter, mudguards are needed as you are in Denmark but you are correct there are thousands of combinations to make our Bromptons even lighter, good luck dude and if you have any suggestions or questions just give us a buzz.

@@781BromptonPremiumParts It has presently reached 8,75 kilo and when I have changed the Heavy Metal Clips on the mudguards to a set of Carbon and Alu, which I have (Titanium stays). carbon handlebar and some extra titanium parts for my brakes, not shifted, I expect to come below < 8,50 kilo and still with mudguards and 6 gears. I also have titanium chainwheels for those, for the outer gears. Finn,. Denmark

@@finncarlbomholtsrensen1188 for 6 gears with mudguards that pretty good weight already! If you change the internal gears to external then you will have a significant weight change but 8.5 is not bad man!

Spent about 500 miles on it and so far so good. kzfaq.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA Pros:1. Very light2. Solid quality build3. Fast delivery: It arrived 5 weeks earlier than expected.4. Easy assemblyJust a few cons but nothing major:1. Cheap tin tubes and had flat on first day... but not a big deal. I replaced the tubes.2. Seat is a bit uncomfortable but that's pretty much the same situation with most bikes.3. Seat post is a bit long/high for a smaller size 48 bike - had to saw 2 inch off to fit properly. The lowest setting is too high. The post locking system does not seem to hold well (perhaps because I saw 2 inch off).4. wheels are not tubeless compatible (from what I can tell)

The factory advertised Brompton weight should be 7.9 kilos not 8.15 kilos? I think it's underhand that Brompton are misleading with the weight of the T Line (& other models).

There’s also the bottom bracket protector. Plus it’s a good idea to use bike frame protector tape, especially on such an expensive bike. 👍

Yes Billy its not 7.95 kg as this has extended seat post that added an extra weight compared to the 530mm tube, got it from NYJ
