With the DB class 111, the Wunder Präzisionsmodelle company has once again created a fascinatingly detailed handcrafted brass model on a scale of 1 : 32. The 524 millimeter long electric locomotive weighs 7.2 kilograms.
The prototype was built a total of 227 times from 1974. The gauge 1 model was staged by Wunder in eight different versions from epochs 4 to 6. For this video and for two reports in specialist magazines, it was available to me on loan, as it was in 1981, in an S-Bahn color scheme from the Cologne Railway Directorate. The list price for this adult toy is 3490 euros.
With the help of a multi-protocol digital decoder LokSound 5XL from ESU, no fewer than 32 functions can be switched, almost all of which can be seen and heard in the video - including the individually electrically movable pantographs. By the way, at the end of the video there is again an extensive test drive with light and sound. I also have this video again with subtitles in German and English.
The video consists of the following sections, which can also be selected directly in the timeline:
00:00 greeting and unpacking
00:24 Prototype and 8 model variants of the 111 from Wunder
00:44 Prototype of this model variant, weight, length, price

07:35 sound functions station announcements and light change red-white

Fantastic looking loco and amazing detail too, however for 3000+ Euros I'd like to see them individually weathered to represent the true original it has been built from. Whilst I appreciate that not everyone likes to have their models aged, I feel it adds a certain originality to them and gives them their own DNA. I only run N gauge as you will see from my channel, but if I had to start again from scratch I would be investing in this gauge and thanks for sharing your video with us. Have a great weekend Dave B [DB]

@PeterPernsteiner
@PeterPernsteiner 2 жыл бұрын

I would also like to test the locomotives with suitable wagons. However, this is also a question of the available space. In addition, the videos of the locomotives require a lot of time. As long as the number of views of my videos does not increase significantly, I have to be content with that I can only occasionally show wagons behind locomotives in action - with videos about model railroad layouts or about driving meetings.

@PeterPernsteiner
@PeterPernsteiner 2 жыл бұрын

BR 111 , sehr modern😂
@PeterPernsteiner
@PeterPernsteiner 2 жыл бұрын
