Came to this video because I just bought this exact Warrior Two V2 on the secondary. I own an Evo Typhoon & love it, so I got excited when they compared the Warrior to it! Can't wait to get that sucker in the mail! Never owned a Japanese tanto so it'll be cool to check it out. And I got it for a really good price, which I'm also excited about.

i really love the Lanny's handle. like wow. i also really love basically everything about the Eraser. my first knife was the dividend which has that sinkevich-esque overall modified drop point + crooked handle shape and i love it. however. i am absolutely sold on the flipper tab of the GSD.

The one that really caught my eye was the Eraser. I really like the blade shape. Get the marbled Carbon Fiber. The one you should buy is the Lanny. You both like it and it is closer to size Frankie would like.

Lanny (because Micarta and gold coloring ) and field duty because of that voxnaes look. Great eye hole and the that shape is amazing. For living mah I always look for the lines and the designs- those both have it but that filed duty is one heck of a design !

Lanny is SWEET A$$ blade!! Not to thrilled with the pocket clip on it is my only issue. I also dig the ball on the pocket clip! Seems like it may go into a pocket cleaner?

I'm not a fan of bolster style knives but that micarta with contrasting gold hardware has me voting for Lanny. Next would be the tuxedo GSD

I personally love the field duty I really love that style knife ive been carrying a Spyderco shaman and just started carrying a we malice which both have a similar look to the field duty

Most of these are older designs (the GSD being the oldest and did not get a new finish/redesign, hence why it's not in the catalog) but I think Liong Mah did an even better job on his new models. Out of those knives I would go with the Field Duty. (I have a pre-full production KUFv2 which is similarly good) The Zulu is also not a slipjoint but a flipper. It only imitates the style of a slipjoint and has a nailnick.

Great video. I'd vote for the XV or the Warrior v2; Maybe the Lanny. The tanto on the v2 is more of an American than Japanese. The Williams Hissatsu would be an example of a "Japanese" tanto.

I think the lannys clip is the most stand out with a nice blend of tradition and technology kind of like the ultimate version of an old and excellent pattern that most of us love - I am so tired of plain titanium or carbon fiber scales and knives that look like space ships

I already own (2) Field Duty knives, one plain Titanium and one Carbon Fiber. A lot of those knives appeal to the COOL senses, and I've held them all, but none of them has as functional of a blade as the Field Duty. I can also say, after communicating with Liong Mah himself, he has very high hopes for the Field Duty to fill the need for a functional "full bellied slicer" that seems to be in short supply in the knife community. If anyone out there gets a chance to view them all up close, remember what I've said here as you examine them and you will see exactly what I mean. When I first started getting into knives I was all about the coolest look, and all about flippers, but as my tastes matured, I realized how often I really get to show off a knife compared to how often I really need a knife that does it all when called upon, and that's usually when you are alone with no one watching. Once I got the finger flicking down pat, I realized a non flipper fit the pocket better also, in most cases, not all. Thanks for hearing me out. I vote FIELD DUTY!

I think it’s pretty obvious you’re going to choose the Lanny. I was actually just eyeing that exact one and the warrior in marbled carbon fiber and warrior in green micarta on The Knife Joker last night. I swear this the third or fourth time in a few weeks that I would be looking at something and then that day or the next you all will do a review on them. Anyways, I think you should get either the Lanny or Warrior but check out all of the different handle scales

Love that XV...too rich for my blood. But now the internal battle begins if I'll buy the Lanny. Man it's beautiful. Would be my first Mah knife. The angel on one shoulder is saying don't do it. The devil on the other is like, "Go ahead, buy it you cheap bastard!" Meanwhile I'm waiting on a Reate Jack, a Spydiechef, and the CF Shaman. Ahhhh....I can't do it. It's nah to the mah. 😥

I really wanted to like the fixed blade but that sheath totally killed it. As for the folders, the warrior wins hands down. I like a good fixed blade for belt carry but that setup would be seriously high above the waist.
