How long fibers in a thicker rug do you think would be ok not risking the main rollers chew/pluck it, or even get stuck?

You didn’t go back to how well it picked up the Glitter or I missed it but I don’t think so. Also it would be helpful for us newbies to know how loud these vacuums are when running.

It doesn't have camera anymore, it's IR sensor so no more video feature in S8

Disappointing to see a lot of requested features were left out of this model. For example the app to: show water level estimate in app, ability to drag and drop to reorder routines, ability to copy routines & schedules, ability to save zones like we do with rooms, ability to delete rooms, increase mop lift clearance, etc.

They targeted the features which people are more likely to buy first. 99% of the features you mentioned can be added by software except the mop lift and if the new model had it And the old one wouldn't people would complain,

We just put down wood floors so I am looking at the robot vacuums for the first time. The only thing I don’t hear talked about is the noise level. Sounds like you guys know a lot about these vacuums, would you mind sharing your thoughts on noise levels. Thank you!

I am a big Fan of the S7 Pro Ultra. Happy to see the incremental improvements with the S8. I wish they increased the size of the freshwater tank on the S8, the water tank is why I need to touch it once a week. The only downside to the S8 Ultra, other than price, is the bagless design. We prefer having a dust-bag, some may not.

Why? 1) has the camera with 2 way talk (great to see under the bed or get the robot out of trouble also shows you a picture of what exactly it avoided or tell the kids to open a door so the robot can get in or get something from under their bed etc ) 2) can see cables and wires better (this goes along with the camera by using the actual RGB camera) 3) minimal cleaning difference between the 2.0 mop (specially for ($300 more) 4) RGB color strip at the top so you can see what the robot is about to do such as: -charging status (pulsating green) -cleaning mode (pulsating blue) -error (orange) -traveling to a specific room/area before cleaning (white) -low battery (red) Etc… 5) Led light on the front (plus for me because my daughter is 80% deaf and cannot hear the robot, so both of the lights helps her be aware without walking on it possibly damaging the investment. 6) doesn’t have another lifting mechanism for the vacuum portion that could possibly break. Plus the s8 doesn’t lift the mop pad any higher up The older AI on the S7MaxV is more advanced then the s8. I would make a review video why.. but you can read it here.

@@jasonbig1353 also I do not believe the price for the s7 MaxV will drop. It will stay at $1399. S7 Max Ultra $1199 S7 MaxV Ultra $1399 S8 Pro Ultra $1599
