I've just installed this model and make of heater which I've had for a year, so I clicked on this video with heart racing, wondering if it's about to explode - though it hasn't yet. Phew! Just a few words missing from the Chinglish 'instruction' book. I'm very pleased with my heater so far. The instructions are vaguely understandable if you persevere, and together with help from several generic installation videos - including from here - all went well, I have the 'simple' three button controller. On first use it was set to control the pump pulse rate, but the instructions did explain how to change it to temperature control, which I managed first go following them. To test it I set the temp to 17 degrees ( it was 13 in the van). The heater went full blast until van temp was 18, when it slowed to tickover with tepid air outlet and slowest pump pulse rate.. At van temp 16 it fired up again full blast and back to 18 degs. So with that controller, you can make it work to maintain a set temperature. Many thanks Van Life UK.

I loved your video on the dangers of "cheap Chinese heaters". After watching your video, I think I can overcome the safety issues. So, I'm thinking of getting the 2KW Vevor diesel heater for my truck camper. Truck campers have enough differences from vans that the options to install it inside the insulated living are few since I do not want to go through the floor of the camper and the truck bed. That would make it difficult to dis-mount the camper from the truck. So, I want to install it outside the insulated living area in a protected, but unheated space. I would keep all the fuel, pumps, filter, and heater outside the living space and run the warm air duck to the inside through an easy route I have. BUT, then I will be sucking in the cold outside air to heat which would kill the efficiency of the furnace. I can run a cool air return from inside to the furnace IF it is safe to attach a cool air duck to the cool air intake on the back end of the furnace? Any suggestions, comments, or concerns about the feasibility of this option? If it isn't safe, I can find some locations inside if I can lay the furnace on its side so the combustion air and hot exhaust can go out the side of my truck camper. Is it feasible to install and operate the furnace on its side?

Excellent advice for the upgrades. Mines been in for about 18 months, but don't know what make it is? It 5kw and red lol?? It's works well but I've replaced the temp sensor twice!

am I wrong or do all the Chinese ones not have a temp setting? I've had 2 maxspeedingrods and all I can see is they have a 1 to 6 fan speed but run at the same temp, the 5kw one was running at 200c and the 2kw one runs at 110c, I've messed with the settings I don't see any way to change the temp, BTW the info on this channel is top notch saved me from freezing 🥶
