Yeah, I was looking at the highest DLSS setting, then it switched and I didn't even notice a difference! Except the later ones where DLSS showed massive ghosting from moving objects and FSR looked fine

@Mateusinhoyt of course, it doesn't have machine learning and cores dedicated to it but it's still the best implementation I've seen and a very good option for non RTX gamers

I'm guessing it's just a lot of small details like higher resolution ambient occlusion that's more accurate or other tiny things you'd only notice at 1440p or 4K

Or more like the port is lazy as fuck and they didn't bother pushing the ultra settings.

@@crestofhonor2349 Textures have more detail from medium to high and Ultra is just a cache size difference. Ambient occlusion looks similar between medium and high, but takes effect further out into the distance, making background scenery appear different, though hard to notice if you weren't looking. Reflections also look similar in resolution, but with increased screenspace distance, noticeable in the hotel's table when Sam cracks open the St Dismas Cross. Ultra in all of these does continue to increase the effect resolution, but is past the point of diminishing returns, with the exception of shadows, which has a subtler fall off and thus more naturally lit scenes and bounced light, especially noticeable in character's skin. That's the only option where ultra looks a perceptible step above consoles. Even so, it's not as drastic as say, Medium to high in Crysis for example. (Old version) Medium and high are both valid choices depending on your tolerance and keen eye for far out details. Ultra is mainly just for the bragging rights. If you got the power to handle it, why not set it maxed?

Modern games don’t have ultra settings that are worth it. Medium-high-ultra all look close Edit: Hell even low settings look adequate if you put textures on ultra.

It might be changing the draw distances for higher textures as well, so those close shots won't show that

I didn't notice any difference in quality. I agree with you. Ultra only serves to allocate more textures and speeds up loading.

Requiem sucks cause it's 30fps 1440p on consoles. Who tf still enjoys 30fps is beyond me like it's PS3/PS4 era. We're way past that point and 60fps MUST be a standard now
