Suede are the greatest UK band since The Smiths. Untouchable genius, still mindblowingly great today. A somewhat self-defeating band, they often left their best tracks to their B-sides - _Sci-Fi Lullabies_ is essential.

Thank you so much, sir! That solved it for me. One of those riffs that seem a bit mysterious at first, but as soon as I got into the strumming pattern it was easier than expected. Keep the great riffs coming!

Total Guitar tabbed this out back in the 90s. Never forgot how to play it. It is ingrained in my muscle memory! Cracking tune. Trash and this were peak Richard Oakes IMO.

Hey Greg thanks so much for the comment. Its a belta for sure! Out of curiosity, how did I do with the transcription? Yes Trash is another great track. Any other Suede riff should be highlighted to the community?

It’s a belter that’s for sure, it always sounds to me that the picking is irregular for this riff which may be just the hammer one but it’s a classic. Also, I always thought Bernard played this. Nicely researched. Thanks Dean.

Hi Craig, thanks so much for the comment. I can't believe Richard Oakes wrote it when he was 17/18 years old. It's a cool chord progressions but then he takes it up another gear with different techniques. Definitely a fun one to play!

I'd say it was highly rated. It was their second best selling single and was listed the song at number 34 in its list of "The 50 Best Britpop Songs". Sold 200,000 copies and charted 6 countries. I'd love to be that underrated.

Hi Dave, thanks so much for your comment. It was popular track back then It's definitely well known in the niche/genre but this was along time ago. I feel some songs/riffs deserve more attention at the current time. I teach a lot of students guitar ranging from 5-65 years old and many have not heard of this. I feel its underrated now and really feel passionate about showcasing and education people about the 90's. Do you have any riffs in mind that are underrated? Thanks again and I hope you enjoyed the video.
