I just picked this up as this is very much my cup o tea and thought ill have quick look at some vids (I don't know why I sometimes watch reviews after buying lol) I can always count on Noisy Pixel to have vids on the types of games I care about. Woah! Quarter-circle motions all over the place? Too bad... I find those really hard to do with a basic PS4 controller.

Yes. I set connection settings to near only, similar rank, and 3-4 bars of connection strength only (so I'm cutting the viable games down a lot) and I get ranked matches every 2-3 minutes most nights.

This reminds be a lot of BlazBlue. Played a lot of that. Does this play similar?

Yes. A few UNI characters are in BlazBlue. It's more difficult than BlazBlue. The GRD system and the heavy reliance on delays and charge moves in combos adds a lot of depth. But it's still 2D anime fighting at its core.

@@LittleBigKid707b A couple characters have charge motions, but most of the cast doesn't. If you like BlazBlue you will probably have a lot of fun here. There are some significant differences, but they have enough similarities for you to catch on.

LittleBigKid707b uni is my favorite. Bbcf is my second. I think so. This game is more grounded. I think bb characters are slightly more unique, but uni characters feel really fleshed out, but both are great anime games with unique characters. Who was your main in bb? I can recommend which characters to check out.
