Built for a penny-pinching time trial series based at NCM Motorsports Park, the Ford Probe of Cody Willet and Stephen Lee has progressed over the years into a fast, but still frugal, competition platform. Their Probe regularly outruns far more expensive and exotic machinery (which, when you’re talking about a Ford Probe is almost everything, but still…). Take an inside look at this quick machine that surprises its trackmates by filling their mirrors more often than they expect.

I love the seeing anything that has to do with probes. They have been lost though out the years. They where always underestimated/underdogs. There awesome very fun cars. I just bought one last year that I've been slowly restoring and rebuilding.

Bought one as my first car in 2018. This year (2020) I bought another one and If money allows then I'll get another one next year, perhaps a 2.2 Turbo instead od 2.5 V6 😁

Hell yeah!! As a proud owner of a MINT 1993 Ford Probe GT with only 81,000 miles I can truly say they are great cars!! Extremely underrated/under appreciated!! They are excellent handling cars and they make very good power and they are extremely reliable and the design is beautiful!!

Absolutely amazing!! I have a 1993 AND a 1996 GT that are near perfect condition, no one loves Probes more than me, no one, I have ever piece of art, pictures, I have framed everything, memorabilia, everything you can think of. I am as I call it, a Ford Probe caregiver.

my first and second cars worth probes, eventually i got something else but my best memories were driving that car. i miss it still. might just have probe fever coming back cause now its all over my youtube lol. might have to keep my eye out for a nice gem

My 97 is a hoot, I'm restoring it, love the look and the handling of it. It's a comfortable touring car. You guys should give it a little more credit and not talk it down so much. The Probe has always been a highly competitive car in the right hands and with the mods . Keep it up, love to hear about the 2nd Gen Probe.

I had a 1995 GT probe in light 🔵. I loved it and sold it at 90k miles because it started to rattle plastics and it annoyed the crap out of me. I wish I would have kept it and figured it out.

As a Mk3 Supra owner, I have a general frustration with the Probe, because for some reason the Probe is at least as known as the Supra of that era, so they get confused a lot. As a racer, I love that you guys are proving to the world that you don't need an expensive car to have a great time on track. Reliable is more important (and more fun) than fast but finicky. As a comedian, I love the Cold Lotion Racing Probe. Let that sink in a moment. Better yet, maybe don't. You guys are deviants haha.

I'd like to get in touch with these guys, I made Ford Probe performance parts for about 13 years and we held huge national events for them in the late 90s early 2000s - I know I've got a bunch of stuff left over they may be interested in. I'm the original owner of a 1997 Probe GTS, heavily modified and turbo powered.

@@cellculturist Short throw shifters, nitrous switch brackets, custom plug wire sets (EDIS), strut braces, big(ger) brake kits, pretty much anything probe performance. There is very little I don't know of haven't done with a 2nd gen Probe GT.

@Josh thank you. I was able to find a used one 90 minutes away, and currently in the process of replacing. Check out some of my videos. My latest one shows how the diff spider gears in my old trans came apart. But my original clutch of 190k miles is still like new. Wow. Thanks again. Keep racing the probe, they are such underground gems.

'95 S/E $100.00 insurance company auction total, air bags? We don't need no stinking air bags.that hole in the dash will fit a pizza oven. With not your grandma's 2.0 in it,built by Intrigue Motor Sports out of Orting Wa.(they do magic with 4 cylinders) and a totally gone through rebuilt fixing factory defects CD4E.

If anyone is looking to upgrade get tech tips, find people who have modded a Ford Probe. Check out Probetalk.com. The TEIN Supersport suspension is the best for 2nd get probe. Porterfield brakes makes Road racing and autocross brake pads for these cars.
