Freshii has captured the market in healthier, fresh, fast food. Boss Matthew Corrin opened his first store in 2005 and now he has 80, around the world. But when he dares to work undercover in his own Canadian franchises, he makes surprising discoveries. One worker literally rubs salt in his wounds when he struggles to cut up tomatoes.[32]

The former CEO of Japan Airlines significantly cut his own wages to avoid downsizing employees and cutting into their pay when profits were down. He took the bus to work, wore affordable suits and ate his lunch in the staff cafeteria like everyone else. he also took the time to interact with his staff on a personal level. I do not see any undercover "bosses" prepared to do anything close to that level of awesomeness.

I think he used it as a way of taking things easy as he'll never have to do it again. Can't believe it, he takes one week off from his cozy morning slippers & infinite time with his family and he still pussies out, treats it like a game instead of actually observing the lives of these poor people. And he doesn't even give a shit about the whole theme of the company it's all marketing to him. Those same mom & pop shops that inspired him are the ones he's putting out of business with some of daddy's seed money and his big fucking mouth

If you actually scratch under surface of the premise for this show it's kinda concerning that CEOs don't realise their staff are humans until they work literally next to them... And they don't realise how badly paid their staff are until they're told that "as a stranger"... Be great if companies could just be nice to their employees without having to make a TV show about it!

Not only that, but they never work with bad employees, only good ones, so they're obviously choosing them in advance so they have something to reward, just to make the company look good. It's marketing, not company improvement. If they legitimately cared about improvement they'd have been taking employee feedback seriously the entire time

They go and do advanced research on all of these locations and their employees. The show plays on the premise that CEOs don't know how much their employees are getting paid. They work with a good ones mainly so that they have a sob story, and can give the well deserving employees a raise, as it's probably a prerequisite for being on the show. They also do work with the bad employees. You see them get reprimanded, and even fired sometimes on these shows. I've been in business owner for 10 years, and I know exactly how much all of my employees are getting paid... They get paid more than me. Not only do I take on major risk with this company, most of the money the company makes goes right back into growing the business so I can hire more employees, and give raises to my existing employees. That's not easy. I literally took a huge pay cut 10 years ago, and have only given myself a raise once. CEOs can be a little different as they may just be appointed, but this guy started the business. He's sharp. He knows more than what they let on. All that being said, I'm not sure I like the guy, but look at how many people he is giving a paycheck to. To how many people do you give a salary?

As a Lakota woman, we are not against immigrants whatsoever but I can unequivocally assure immigrants get treated far better than your average Canadian especially if you are a pale Canadian! At first I did not believe this until I went with various Canadian shopping in terms of conducting an experiment to disprove this notion! Sadly I was wrong! I discovered 3 major problems! 1. Immigrants often expected pale Canadians to be racist! I found 1 pale lady that was a “ racist “! In three different stores the last persons to be served were either pale folks or Indigenous folks 2. Folks had no problem being rude to Canadians calling them entitled, spoiled, ugly devils, or lazy! Actually I was shocked and did not want to believe this! I went undercover essentially and sadly this was the actual case! WOW! Yes I met entitled Canadian that were pale but here is the ratio without revealing which ethnic group they were from- 78% of males from a certain group insisted that pale woman come back and get served by their woman! Calgary and Edmonton were the absolute worst! 10% of females from the same group were women-sadly not one single apology for being rude came forth and that saddened me! I found that the politest people in relation to Canadians were the South Korean people! They treated everyone very well including the above mentioned group! 3. There was an assumption that Canadians had money and most Canadians I met were hardworking everyday folks that were treated poorly in their own country! As a Native Lakota woman, I have been at the brunt of vulgar verbal racist attacks but admittedly few were from poor pale folks! Canadians must unite and work together against the rule of a very dark government agenda and fight for our freedoms! Classical Liberal here but what I see is not Democracy or even benevolent dictatorship but a cold hard vicious purge of Canadian freedoms! I welcome all immigrants but I also have a heart for strong hardworking Canadians and am very saddened by the arrogance of ignorance that I have encountered!
