Underglaze over white glaze on ceramics

This is a video for my students to learn watercolor likeness techniques, when applying underglaze over stroke and coat white glaze or snow/ white glaze on recycled clay

Beautiful brush work. I have been wanting to do something different as it's so time consuming to paint the underglazes in three layers - and this is a very good alternative. I'm going to start practicing today ! Thank you for sharing. I need to screenshot that black thin line brush - it seems to be a great one.

Beautiful work! Thank you! I'm just learning about using underglazes on a glaze. May I ask if a clear glaze is needed in the end if the underglaze I use on the glaze is not food safe?

Wow! Gorgeous. Well done. May I ask…how did you get the speckles? Was it fired in reduction with an iron rich clay or did you spray them on? Thankyou.

I use cotton tale ( stroke and coat Mayco) as a base and then I use velvet underglaze ( Amaco ) over it

Sorry, I didn’t remember right now but I used stroke and coat ( Mayco) cotton tale base , then velvet underglaze ( Amaco) on it with one stroke painting technique. This one you can fire cone 05 - 5 I also used Snow C-10 Amaco glaze for base coat ( for mid range fire )

That was very useful, shame that you use squirrel brushes when there are thousands of perfectly performing ones that are cruelty-free...really, really sad.

Lovely! I was wondering if you could recommend any sources, such as books, with which one can learn your similar underglaze painting technique in which you largely use the brush-shape itself for whatever it is your painting. I'd like to practice and use a similar technique on my own pottery.
