Criterion made an update for Unboud that's acutally good? Forza devs cooked an awesome 80's inspired update for Forza Horizon 5 that includes a new radio station? What is going on lately with racing games? This is awesome. If one year ago you told me that both NFS Unbound and Forza Horizon 5 were going to become great games I wouldn't have believed you. After seeing updates like this, I really have faith for the future games of both franchises.

@@PointonMedia Yeah, Motorsport is flat out dead. I highly doubt they will even make another Motorsport game. And if they do, they really will have to build it from the ground up instead of doing the shit they did with FM "8". I think people are more willing to play Horizon than Motorsport now.

@@FiatUno2003 yeah I agree with you. I weren’t a big fan of horizons handling model personally. But I respect the amount of content PG have released recently for that game. And as someone who loved playing competitively on forza motorsport it’s such a shame how bad it’s got and that’s including some of the community members just cheating to get a slight advantage. FM4 was truly a golden era and non of us realised it until a few years later.

My only complaint is that drag and drift is only in multiplayer. Hopefully they add them into single player after u beat the story. Otherwise very good update

@@yocapo32 but isn't the devs who is supposed to give those statements, people who run the communities are, and they have contact with people who manage all the communication(who should allow them to say this), it's such a brain dead and stupidy ass decision to not be transparent with the costumers... ~The game looks cool, and seems to be improving, but it's those kind of things that always makes me stay away.

I saw the title too😄 The update is good,but on pc they messed up the UI. Some of the players(including me) the UI is completly gone,also the garage background. Hope they fix it, because i can't play in this state of the game.

The new handling has the same problem than the vanilla handling with RWD, it is possible to tester it with the new Black Horse. With a full grip build and b2d disabled, there are still very violent turns of the car when there is some unevenness in the asphalt. It is the main problem of the handling model because every time the car starts to drift it goes into "drift mode" like a script in which you do not have the ability to redirect the car naturally and this causes you to continually lose control of the car. I wonder if they can't configure the physics like in old games, where they drift simply by inertia and not with a "script mode"...

As someone who didn't know about the update and just started playing the game after having purchased it forever ago, I noticed that and it reminded me of skid glitch (if you know you know). Except it even happens on FWD cars. It happens almost 100% of the time when I use full burst nitrous. I get infinite grip with the slightest tap of the steering and do 180 degree turns full grip at 150 MPH...

NGL, I actually dig this update compared to the Audi update in Volume 6. Guess we’ll have to see what Volume 8 will offer in many months time. I guess the only thing that needs to be fixed is the option to skip “certain” soundtracks whilst in races because the update made the songs to be unskippable while in races. This wasn’t an issue previously. Also, forgot to mention, the launching got nerfed in this update, for some strange reason. Hope the devs fix this too.

idk man the drifting scks balls to be honest. Modders did a way better handling like a year ago and the devs still can't get their sht together. For e.g. Pro Street drifting was also slow, but it was fun and rewarding. This looks and feels like mcdonalds tray parking lot drifting at best period.

Actually Kuru, Underground League is based on UG1 Ranking, remember in UG1, where after races you move up in each game mode ranking in story mode?

I think it’s a very great update. The only problem I have with it is with the PC version with its net code because there would be times to win my PC would just crawl in frame rate for like a few seconds and then it just give us back to normal. I believe this is just a net code issue. are they just not keeping the stable connection by the way I’m on gigabit Internet on the ethernet with my system so there should be no lag on my end

I just think that our generation, born in the 90s, is no longer the target audience for these racing games, I only see games with shallow and generic content without enough passion and time invested to launch a good product that will last for years on the market. The truth is that they create games like this to be consumed and discarded with new “novelties” that already existed as standard in games from more than 10 years ago so that guys like you, full of nostalgia and a KZfaq channel, can come and praise their soulless product.

Watched the stream and I have to say that the Drag- and Drift racing didnt look that good. Drag racing is unremarkable but has obstacles and traffic, the Burnout Minigame and the tacho dont look good and are hard to read ( how could they botch this up?). Drifting is too slow and the handling seems kinda weird. And its Unbound so the special effects get tacked on for nothing and the burst nitrous just doesnt really make sense to me...

Would've been nice if the game didn't get completely fucked for GTX cards.The HUD is not working since the update which makes the game completely unplayable both in single player and online.
