Now that Steve has run through lobe shapes and cam cores, you're ready to put it all together in order to understand what goes into designing a custom camshaft, and the reasons behind certain decisions.

I know you dont normally work on diesels but we have a diesel pulling tractor that is 529 inches.. We have to run a small turbo with 2.750 compessor wheel. We have been doing well but we have to gear it really fast. It has good power and torque but it just will not run more than about 3200 rpm. It has a really flat torque curve and has almost the same power from 3200 down to about 2500 rpm. It makes well over 2,300 ft lbs of torque. What could we change to make it run more rpm and hp even if we do loose a little torque. Do we need More camshaft duration or more lobe sep or more head flow. It makes about 73 psi boost.clear down to around 2,000 rpm. It makes about 75 psi exhaust pressure when pulled down

Suggestion Box: Steve, what’s going homie. I can’t really see that desktop 🖥 screen. Can you use the dyno screen or something else?

I understood some of it. I did get it on not using big cams with power adders. Keep bringing it. Repetition!!

Can’t rly see the cam doctor, or the screen… I should start on the first video, but as a suggestion: it would be helpful to do a basic explanation of every motor part does in unison.
