I loved that part. It was an excellent call-back... Or is it a call-forward?

The game was kinda mid. The characters were very forgettable, I simply couldn0t bother completing the game. Too sad, I was kind of hyped for this fan game. It just doesn't feel like an undertale game. It should have been a separate AU rather than a prequel.

It absolutely does; if Asgore actually fought as hard as he could, he'd be as hard as this lady. In Undertale, everyone is apprehensive and at the end of their respective ropes, trying to complete a long awaited goal, but feeling like it's all wrong. Forcing themselves to fight you. Toriel doesn't even try to pretend to be serious, and Asgore is half assedly trying, even though he wishes he was dead. Here? There's still time, still other options to go for. Ceroba is desperately trying to prevent another potential human attack, trying to prevent monsters from dying to another war that she knows full well Asgore won't even fight full heartedly. Ceroba is a Boss Monster putting everything on the line. No holds barred ass whooping. If Toriel or Asgore ever got serious, they'd fuck you up.

Well you played undertale before this,you do have experience with the movement,thank god it's hard,if it had the same difficulty as undertale I would have been bored

Yeah, I would go so far as to call that objectively bad game design. This game has a lot of great things going for it but stuff like that serves as a reminder of the dev team’s overall lack of experience. This is why it’s good that the game is free

@@ramofeldduckington6257 I would not call something like not exploring in a game that rewards you for exploration and not checking or using every item they put in there for you to use bad game design but ok. Remember, this is endgame, there are a lot of defense boosting items in the game that you come across and most of them don't require a lot of things to do in order to get them, most of them have very obvious hints or are just straight in your face sometimes. I finished the game on pacifist with only the silver scarf which gives out 6 defense and 2 health per turn end IIRC. Was it a bit cryptic in order to get? yes. Was it bad for late game because of the small amount of defense it gives? yes. But I chose that because of the health it gives after every turn, sure I die to ceroba in 3 hits but that was my choice. There's the steel buckle (7 defense) and safety jacket (6 defense) they put in the mines all for you to take, they arent hard to find and are free too, the belt buckle is just lying on a shelf that you will backtrack so often to its hard to miss. In the town where starlo is (cant remember the name) you have the only shop you can sell items to, go to the right of that and you can find a necklace that you can do nothing with but sell for 100g just get 50g more (which you will get because you have encounters in the steamworks) and you can buy the patch sold in the apartments for 150g, an item that gives you 10 defense, the highest in game. my point is, undertale yellow is a well made fan game, its challenging not for the blatant unfairness it gives but because its genuinely hard (apart from ceroba which some attacks feel impossible to dodge). They put so many free and paid items across your journey and every mistake will feel like its your fault. Not checking out everything in a game or series that heavily rewards the player for exploration and interaction is not bad game design, but simply a massive skill issue.

@@cheesedrgn the worst part was me playing the neutral route after the pacifist route and finding the "steel buckle" (a free item that gives 7 defense) in the Dunes

it's possible to dodge the opening attack, just not that stupid rose petal one. God. I at least liked the robot fight because I knew what was going on, but. This really feels like there's no rhyme or reason to it.

I could understand the opening attack, but simultaneous orange and blue attacks? That’s not hard, buddy

The Shield Bell's Shockwaves when they explode are also not dodgable.

Maybe the piece of armor in the hotel? Dont know how much damage you receive with that since i didn't use it bc its expensive

In the hotel, the shop (where burgerpants was in the original ut) sells you the armor, don't remember how much it costs bc i was saving money for healings and armor and didnt even register the amount of money, but Im pretty sure is there.

I think he uses something else here... Bcus the armor in the hotel was better by 1 point which means she would deal 4 dmg, in the video she deals only two dmg to him so thats not it

@@The_King_One1 Well, at least from the video we really dont know what armor they have, but assuming you had the best last armor before then it must be ??, Im starting to doubt bc im doing the geno and dont remember that much the final part of the pacifist, but like I say i think the best armor you can have is the 10DEF one. Or maybe is some golden item that increases your defense but i dont know to much about those items bc i only got the coffee one that increases your speed.

@@dinisauriogaar9327 I FIGURED IT OUT, he is using G.Bandana acquired in steamworks by collecting all golden food it has 12 defence which explains why Ceroba deals only 2 dmg to him

Are you calling this game bad just because Asgore wasn't there? Although a lot of time and effort was invested into this game?

WAS there something new to show with Asgore? I think it's good they used more original characters, instead of riding the fanservice route and meeting too much of the original monsters.

If you kill ceroba in this fight you do meet up with Asgore, then he attacks you non stop until you die

Welp if clover encountered asgore he would die anyway, so I don't get ur point lol. It would be just a asgore fan fight with us dying in the end lmao
