Wow - neat to see Barrie on there. I lived there from 1984 to 1993. In 1985, Barrie had Canada's first EF4 tornado, and the damage was devastating. There was no footage of it though - being the mid 80s, cameras weren't everywhere. The city is certainly aware of the dangers though, and getting hit again kind of underlines that. Barrie's a LOT bigger now too - back in '85, it was around 46K people.

@@hipmetalworx - you mean '85, but yeah, good gods, that was right were it crossed the highway and headed for the Raceway. And yeah, was this crazy intense storm, then... sunny, clear. Then all the sirens started from endless emergency vehicles; that was how we knew something had happened. My father worked at General Tire - he had _just_ left minutes before it crossed the highway. Scary stuff, and yeah, will never forget that day.

That accident in Fairfax County, with the BMW M-3 driven by teens is, yes, a perfect example of too much car for the driver. Kids just don't understand -- no matter how many videos they sit through in driver's Ed -- how fast and awful an accident can happen. I'll never forget. The first winter after my son got his license, he would laugh at me when I cautioned him to be careful when there was ice or snow. The next year? If I mentioned ice or snow he'd give me a seriously worried look. A few years later he admitted he had had a few fender-benders in his first winter. Thankfully, he was driving an old tank, an 18yo Jaguar that he got a for a good price from a friend of a friend. I had to drive it because he got it before he had his license and I was glad for that. After driving it I knew, if he was in almost any but the worst accident, he would live. It was solid. And it got him through that all-too dangerous 1st year of driving.

4:18 the driver has no control over the vehicle at all. 120 miles per hour or 190 km/h requires experience and a vehicle in top condition. Bad tires, worn suspension or just incorrect tire pressure can be fatal. Likewise the driver's incompetence. But even a pothole in the road can throw the car off balance. In Germany there are always guard rails in the middle.

#8 about the teen who drove over 120 MPH should have his driver's license taken away from him until he is 25 years old. Also every state should go back to the old days when a person in there teens can not get their license until they are 18 for junior license and 21 for adult license. Back then parents didn't loose their children as fast as they are today. I know that there are going to be some parents out there who are going to say; "HOW DO YOU EXPECT OUR CHILDREN TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO SCHOOL OR WORK?" Well back in my day my mother and father didn't allow me to get my license until I turned 19. I am now 65. That was back in 1976 and I am very happy that they made me wait. But, if you have a child who wants their drivers license at the age of 16 well there's only one thing that you need to ask yourself. "HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN?" Do you want your children with you for the Holidays or would you rather go and put flowers on their graves. The only way we are going to stop children from getting killed is to go back to the olden days to keep our children safe. And to keep them with us longer. I think people out here should write to our Government asking that the Government to change the driving age be changed back to junior license at 18 and adult license at 21. To save our childrens lives.
@Ragetiger1
@Ragetiger1 7 ай бұрын
I agree with that driver losing their license till 25, she even had passengers that should NOT have been in the vehicle since she was under 18. The cop was also stupid in so many ways, running in the same direction as the out of control BMW was traveling at and failing to just simply go over the guard rail that was right there.

03:13 I could probably get the car unstuck but it might not work😅 Give me like 2 jacks a piece of plywood and some mechanics. Trust me we had a Ford Ranger that rolled forward over a wall the cab on the ground and the bed of the truck stuck standing up and the only thing tires it was on were the two front tires. Don't know how it got stuck like that but it did. We somehow drove it the rest of the way down from the wall without breaking anything. I don't understand my family sometimes I'm the only girl out of 4 boys in my household. Story 2:January of 2021/2022 I got COVID and we were about to enter the street from the gas station parking lot we don't even pass the gas pumps and the driver side tire decides nope not today and falls off rolling halfway across the parking lot. Yea that's truck didn't like us alot. We had to call my dad to bring tools to fix said tire.. Yea i didn't trust that tire for a couple months. 😅

#6 That's not a train, the operator 100% could have used their brake long before the impact. Legally speaking the car is still at fault however i feel like the operator had malice intent to brake after the impact as it's clear it could have stopped quick enough before the impact

8:30 I disagree with the take on #6. That slow-moving street trolley had all the opportunity to stop and not smash into the car. Street Trolleys are NOT Freight Trains. The guy driving the car is still dumb, parking on train tracks is never smart. But that trolley could have stopped effortlessly. If it really didn't have the braking ability to do that, then I blame maintenance and/or engineering. I've personally been on street trolleys when they hit the brakes hard when some unanticipated issue came up - they can definitely stop.
