I remember a play in the playoffs in one game where the game was on the line everyone was covered except for him and he didn't even ask for the ball because he knows he can't shoot.

@@b.e.r.nnetwork8251 hes 24 bruh. Hes not from this country. He didn't need a jumper in Greece. He hasnt been playing for that long. He started playing at 13. U forget he came in as a raw prospect and its only been 6 years. His game has evolved to what it is today, which is enough for him to be an MVP and dpoy candidate. His jumper has gotten better year by year, and he uses it in spurts. He still has a ways to go but it takes time and consistency for a jumper to be perfected. He isnt BenSimmons, who dorsnt take them at all and likely never will. Hes more in the J kidd department where it will take him a while to develop it. Yall need instant gratification with everything. Somethings take time. Be patient. Steph been shooting for years. U think it took 6 years of development for him to get this great? It might take him till hes 30 to get that jumper but I think he'll eventually get it.

Any coach worth his job does not attack a 1-2-2 zone from the top with a seven footer playing the point. Move a guard up and move Giannias to the wing so he can attack the zone ten feet closer to the defense, on the move and have passing options on the wing, baseline and kick-out three or attack the rim himself. He cannot break down a zone defense against professional athletes off the dribble from the top. High school zone offense.

My thoughts are: Man Skip quit being salty on everybody. Smile a little. The kid has decent mechanics, he is only 24, and he has been busting his behind all year. Give Giannis time, if he can’t learn in a few years, maybe then say this. Skip looking for war veterans in first timers. Maybe don’t chart everyone on the MJ measuring stick.

I would blame it more in game plan also. When Toronto adjusted their defense , Coach Bud did not set them up for success. Not to mention Kawahi is an excellent defender ( the first true lockdown defender in 7+ years) and coach was still like Giannis “go try to run thru them”

I don't worry about Giannis and his talent and him walking out of the press conference. He's young and will only get better. And he's not the first player to walk out, and he won't be the last. I'll still give him the league MVP for this year.

I think Toronto is the best defensive team in the NBA. And I've thought that since they traded for gasol. Look how many great defenders they have. But kawhi was the main factor in the Greek freaks dwindling performance. And you gotta admit it felt good seeing the best players on the court going at it on both sides

After game 2 of this series Nick Nurse called upon Kawhi and was like "Go handle that". Pointing in Gianni's direction.. You can't really do much when you have an Elite defender like that on you. The Klaw can pretty much lock up whoever he wants.

You'd better believe Giannis has a killer instinct. worked to get here from nothing, always in the gym, always doing everything he can to be better. There just isn't a way to prepare for the playoffs when you haven't been there before. It took him by surprise. He'll have a jumper next season.

Giannas looked like he didn’t even want the ball usually superstars call or demand for the ball but Giannas most of the time just stood in the same spot not even cutting through the paint flashing to the top, no post up, he just looked like he wasn’t ready

The freak has that mamba mentality. He is just so one dimensional that he can only do so much, but once he gets his jumper and post moves he will arguably go down as one if not the best player ever. If I was him, this summer I would hook up with Hakeem Olajuwon, work on my foot work, post moves and shoot at least a thousand jumpers a day. Oh I would also work 2 dribble pull up jumpers.

Why is coaching not being spoken about? I thought adjustments to the scheme would have helped him out. We all agree that he has to add a jumper and improve free throw %, but he also needed help from a no show Bledsoe as well.

I been saying he ain't got a jump shot,his size the literally the only reason he looked as good as he did,I never believed he was a mvp ,without him being at the rim he's just a rim protector and that's about it.but still there are a couple players that actually deserve mvp ahead of him

They said how about 8 feet. Well I'm a sixers fan and I pray Ben Simmons can just learn to shoot a 5 foot shot maybe even a 3 foot shot and I'll be happy or even just attempt a few in games.
