Unity 2022.3.9f1 + FMOD 2.02.17 + Steam Audio 4.4.0 (Setup from scratch, including all error fixes)

In this video I’ll show you how to setup Unity, FMOD and Steam Audio (all latest versions)
There’s a few hoops to go through, especially on Mac.
Hope this helps some devs save some time and frustration.

Copy the following files from the directory you extracted steamaudio_fmod.zip into, to the Plugins directory of your FMOD Studio project.
* (Windows 32-bit editor only) lib/windows-x86/phonon.dll and lib/windows-x86/phonon_fmod.dll
* (Windows 64-bit editor only) lib/windows-x64/phonon.dll and lib/windows-x64/phonon_fmod.dll
* (macOS editor only) lib/osx/phonon.bundle and lib/osx/libphonon_fmod.dylib
* (all platforms) src/phonon_fmod.plugin.js
If you’re on a mac: drag the phonon.bundle file (in the Plugins directory in your FMOD project) after the following string in terminal and press enter:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine file_path
example: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Users/your username/Desktop/Viking_Test/FMOD/fmodproject/Plugins/phonon.bundle

How did you do quad speakers in unity?

@@RubenHulzebosch - Unfortunately for that to function I had to remove Steam Audio's spatializer (which seems to support only stereo binaural output mode), replacing it by default FMOD's Spatializer (in my case I put an Object Spatializer either on the Audio Track or the Master Track, with the difference I noticed it doesn't appear in the output monitoring) - Before hand checked that the quad audio interface is selected as default system output in macos system preferences. Also checked that it's configured in quad in Audio Midi Setup app. - In FMOD's Build Preferences I put the platform (here "desktop") Surround speaker mode on 5.1 or 7.1 - I could check with the sphere in Overview if sound is properly through the speakers - Then in FMOD Settings in Unity, under "Platform Specific"/"Project Platform" I also selected Surround 5.1 or 7.1 and voilà

Also in my case I found it confortable to start by setting an Auto Envelopment in FMOD Studio's SPatializer, with Override on and Min Max distance about 6 to 90

Thank you so much Ruben. This video is invaluable. I would have never found the solution to the "bug" on my own. Unfortunatly, (i use a mac pro i9) i have a total crash of unity after inserting the phonon_fmod plugin when trying to play the scene . Any idea or clue as to why this might happen? This crash doesnt change after the final step of fixing the assets - assets thing.
