Hey guys!
Your favorite housing ambassador is finally back again with a hall tour video. Today we are looking at Joe Greene Hall at UNT. This is the newest residence hall just built a year ago from the time of me recording. There are many tour videos of this residence hall, but I find that while they are fun, they are not very thorough or address typical questions people may have.
I am a former housing ambassador who gives hall tours to parents and prospective students and with us still in a pandemic, I thought it would be helpful to record a full hall tour for those cannot, or will not, come for an in-person tour. I tried to make this video as detailed as possible to answer any questions someone my have, but if I missed something please don’t hesitate to ask me in the comments down below!
About the Hall:

Hi Allora! i’m a freshman at UNT this year and I watched your video on the three housing positions. I am so interested and I just love the idea of meeting new people and helping them ease into UNT. Do you think it’s too late to apply to become an RA for my sophomore year? 😅

Hi there! I’m glad you’re thinking about joining housing as an employee. It is definitely not too late to apply. You will need to go to an interest session and I believe the last one is held in November so you have time, but the earlier the better. Go visit the housing website and look at the jobs tab to see when those sessions are happening. If you have any specific questions feel free to reach back out!

Hi Allora ! My name is kenzie i just recently got accepted into UNT and I’m currently very interested in this residence hall , my only question is do you know what the diversity is like in the dorm haul orrr more specifically if a lot of black people live in the dorms. Just curious, thank you for the information though !!

Haha thanks for the question! So Joe Greene is still a really new hall so there isnt a specific type of person that stays there. For example, Victory is where most athletes stay so it tend to be more black, Maple Hall hosts a lot of counseling, LGBT+, and diversity events so mostly liberal and LGBT+ students stay there. There are a lot of minority students in the dorms mainly because UNT is classified as a minority serving institution. Do you know which halls don’t have community bathrooms?

Only Bruce Hall and West Hall have community bathrooms. The men’s side of Crumley also has community style.

Hi! There are a handful of older students who stay in the residence halls, but most older students stay in one of the student apartments. Hope that helps!

You'd have to find your tuition fee first. But it all depends on what classes, and how many, you choose to take. Once you pick your classes, you'll see in myunt what the cost of tuition is. If you have scholarships or financial aid you'll see it posted there too. Hope that answered your question
