Ok so some people, or a lot of people don't seem to like, or seem to hate the Blue Channel on the EL34 5150iii 50watt version. But I think people are trying to use a screwdriver to drive a nail, so to speak. It's not going to chug. It's not going to be great at subsonic down tuned flap flub. It wants to be a Marshall. Let it be what it wants to be. It identifies as the brown sound. Don't you dare dead name it!

Sounds absolutely killer to me. I dont understand how people can be surprised about this tone from an amp that markets itself around the USP of having EL34s - it's obvious that it's supposed to ape the plexi tone with a bit of a modern twist. Beautiful sound.

Thank god, I have finally found a video were the player is not using this amp for chugging, djent metal riffs lol. Its refreshing to hear some lower gain tones with this amp!

Thank you for saying that! It’s more based on my low skills than anything else but I too get tired of drop down tuned chug riffs in demos. Love your screen name!

I rocked on the original 5150 and 5150 II for years but my favorite amp was my JCM 2000 super lead. I had the 50 watt head. I gotta have a good clean tone. 🤷🏻♂️

Crap - Sounds great to me, Alan. I mean.... Eddie wasn't a Chugger. He was a swingin,' melodic, hard-rockin' Beast, and it was all centered around the unbelievable songs he wrote. Now... that doesn't mean you can't play other types of rock or whatever, with his stuff, or other amps and gear. Just saying. I agree with you on this. Sounds great. You get 70s and 80s Marshall stack type stuff. For me, that's all the Overdrive and classic sound I would ever need. And when I would want to go all Def Lep or Whitesnake, and even some VH.... I'd throw some delay in front, and yeah - maybe a little Screamer type OD... and BOOM! Yeah - I think this amp rocks!

I think Eddie liked the darker tone on the blue channel because when he thinks marshall he thinks plexi not 800
