Mayuri, which is one of the oldest Andhra restaurants in Bangalore has opened their new outlet in Electronics City, Bangalore. Though Mayuri is known for its non-vegetarian delicacies, we tried out their veg options, which are equally good. Got a complimentary Nannari Sharbath Shot to start the meal with. For starters, tried their Pachimirch (green chili) Mushroom which was a spice and falvour bomb and tongue searingly hot. Enjoyed the chili heat and the garilc punch. It was an amazing started. The other starter, Karivepaku Baby Corn was equally hot with the pungency from Red Chili. Though this dish was good, it was the mushroom guy who stole the show.
Sakahari Vindhu Bhojanam, the vegetarian Andhra meals was a real good meal experience. With close to accompaniments, the meal will satiate your hunger pang, if you go on an empty stomach. It is priced at 279/- which is on the higher side, but it could be due to the location and the heavy rentals it demands. Ended the meal with the mocktail shots which are peculiarly named (Anar-Kali and Chilly Guava Shot) and some desserts. The shots tasted ok, but the desserts were great. Apricot delight, a bread based dessert and Mulberry Delight, a Rabdi based delight, both were toothsome.
Satisfied with the veg options, but some of the veg pulsus that are on the menu were not available, as they are still settling in. Should visit again for their non-veg fare.
