Uno spent 18 years on a bile farm... this is the moment he felt the sun for the first time ever

Two years ago Animals Asia rushed to rescue Uno, a male moon bear who had spent his entire life - 18 years - trapped in a tiny, rusty cage in a dark room.
The reason? For his bile to be extracted and sold for traditional medicine.
Today we're celebrating Uno's two-year rescue anniversary by re-sharing the touching moment he felt the warmth of the sun on his face for the very first time.

There are no words to express how angry I get when I watch those rescues...and those long, long years of confinement in those awful cages make me weep...And not only in Asia...Europe has a shocking history as well the way they abuse/ keep their bears....absolutely horrific stories...when will it all end?..? not in our lifetime...

That really touched me. The gentle cautious steps onto grass he'd never known before was sad but also beautiful as he is now free to live as he should ❤

Yes, most of the bears we rescue have never seen grass before and they can be very cautious when stepping onto it for the first time ♥️

Perhaps the cruelest treatment of an individual is to completely strip them of their identity. I sincerely hope he can find himself - that the torture has left some of him unscathed

He is one big chunky fur baby. So cute the way he lifted his feet when he walked on the grass then a few mins later his whole body was squished into it. Lovely to watch all your bears go from fear to fascination about ther surroundings. Thank you for all you do. 👍🐻💕😍❤️
