Unpacking the HQ800 Lathe and Mill

9 жыл бұрынThis is an initial unpack and description of a HQ800 Lathe/Mill I have for sale. The machine looks great, although covered in preservative grease will look excellent with a clean. It is solid and robust, yet compact to fit into any workshop. A stand is also available.

Its been a number of years since new now. I have found the assembly was poor, lots of parts have become loose and need tightening, well, more than I would expect. The machine itself? Its ok. I would give it 6/10. I dont think I would buy a combination machine again is my only statement.

Question. Can the drill/milling headstock be turned away from the lathe bed to increase the swing space for the lathe? Thanks.

It can. And that is something I do often. Infact I only tighten the locking bolts when I really need too.

nothing, same IDENTICAL machine, only 300mm extra between centers
