@@audreyparmenter2000This was happening in the past ( with artist like Rihanna and Rita Ora )but now barely any artist are debuting in the US market and all of them have a very distinct image. In those 5 last years only 4 "new artist" (Billie Eillish, Olivia Rodrigo, Dababy, Tyla) really made it and you can't compare them because their music style is so distinct and all of them actually brings something new to the industry at some point. The thing with kpop is that so many groups are debuting and so many are trying to be successful without building their own image their own sound you can take a song from SKZ and give it to Ateez but you can never take an Olivia Rodidrigo song and give it to Dababy, Billie Eillish or Tyla. None of them feels different no one has yet shown us something different in terms of music like everything has been done and everyone just jump to the last trend. So saying that Americans lyrics nowadays all sounds the same isn't true but it used to for sure but they finally understood that they can't always do the same thing over and over again because people will get bored and this is what happening in kpop. Back in 2018/2019/2020 having 100 millions views for your song was a possible thing but people got so bored of groups doing the same thing over and over again, plenty of artists debuting and not being able to keep up with them that those types of achievements (ofc KZfaq views aren't the only thing that matters but we can see this decrease in every thing with albums sales...) aren't going to happen again in the kpop industry for now unless they understand that debuting 1000 groups per year and not building their group a solid image isn't the right thing to do.

I don't like maestro as compared to hot and super.. 4th Gen fans calling every fucking single comeback SOTY 😂😂 IVE Heya soty Aespa supernova soty Illit lucky girl syndrome soty I think I'm outgrown from k-pop. I don't like these new songs. Instead of watching their performance or listening to their song. I prefer to watch hybe drama videos and add comments 😂

@audreyparmenter2000 Yeah, and those mainstream "rappers" have no passion for the genre or rap and HipHop. It's not real hip-hop if the artist and companies only see it as a cash grab. Hip-hop is not inherently shallow or degenerate, but of course, it can be just like every other genre. So I can see your point, but that's not a good example since you could argue that most "music nowadays" has no substance and has themes of sex, drugs, and more. That's not a strictly hip-hop thing. Example "Nonsense" by Sabrina Carpenter and more.

RaP: Rythm and Poetry. It is a musical rythm born in USA in the times of ballrooms during middle to last 1900's when MC's started to mix music and then in order to entretain started to add poetry in the mix for then evolved in an aceptable way to deal with disputes forcing different points of views in a battle of withs, rythm and poetry where the winner was the one that winned in the musical arguments. Hybe sucks and I'm still salty that NU'EST was disbanded apparently without the members not knowing until the last minute. They were going to hit their ten year milestone and finally things were doing good but boom, a sudden disbandement and I'm sure HYBE is the reason for that. I mean Pledis is shitty company as well, but ever since pledis went with hybe, Nu'est's album quality went to a downfall. Like their final album was so disappointing compared to the earlier albums etc. I wish that the boys could do something together as 5 (maybe after all of them have served in the military) in the future, fans were robbed bc of company greediness.

Thank you for talking about Coups❤ As someone who's ein many life performances of him: He is a powerhouse on stage with enough energy to energise the entire crowd and a really good dancer like all of seventeen. The video that most haters commented on where he jumps despite injury is dumb to pick on to begin with as he, in the most synchronized group didn't jump in sync because it hurt, when he goes of stage you can see pain in his face and in the ending ment he is holding his leg in pain. How can they say that he's faking with this and clear medical proof. It's already hard enough as it is and he's a person that knows everything as soon as its talked about regarding himself and the group! So please tell him he's doing well and to rest now!

Unpopular opinion : Every group who had a perfect debut, a perfect discography and overall just everything looking perfect will never be able to make it big. What makes an artist big is their improvements through the years and not in terms of skill but in terms of music. Artist like The Weeknd, Doja Cat didnt start perfectly, they experimented until they found their own path, their own sound, their music wasnt perfect from the start and thats what attracted fans. They always had new expectations from those artist, always wondering if the new song will be better than the other and those artist did released worse song after a song that was absolutely loved yet there was something raw. Whats the ruining the kpop industry is that the group arent the one finding their own path but the producers do everything for them. They choose the concept the songs the lyrics and those groups are forced to do it without giving their opinions about their songs, their discography. In those last 4 years i cant think of a group that brought somehting new even though more than 2000 groups debuted no one ever did something new or had a discography that actually improved because all their songs were "perfect" from the start. But that same perfection is ruining everything it doesnt keep anyone interested as everyone can already imagine how their next song is going to sound like, and how "great" the songs are going to be when theres nothing new in reality

I was holding it for years, but here's an unpopular opinion: BTS only were good in the beginning because they struggled against EXO and Big Bang, and nowadays they became weak - from autotuned vocals to generic melodies. But Hybe thinks they've found the magical formula for success - cute faces, good dancing, catchy melodies and a ton of autotune. Fck this shit

Honestly apart from Jimin who ruined his vocals over the years every other members are doing fine, Tae improved his vocals, so did Jin and they are not amazing vocalist but they can sing, the rap line is the one carrying the group and Jungkook is for sure a weak mai vocalist compared to other kpop group but he's still doing fine. I do think that their last release were a little weak tbh but they were never a group that sticks only to one concept so seeing them doing something new was never surprising. Butter, Dynamite and PTD do sounds generic but the bsides and all their previous releases do not so calling their discography generic over 3 title track is a bit of a reach but I understood your point. Plus their music quality wasn't that great in their start they improved over the years and that's what made them gain fans who were able to see improvement and expecting new things. Saying that what makes bts success is only their cute face their dancing catching melodies and a tone of autotune isn't true they still have a solid musicality as a group and that's what attracted fans

1. Although, I’m disappointed in Itzy’s Japan release. I think the whole sneakers hate is just dumb. Like let’s move on. I still do find their music enjoyable, though it’s clear they are playing it safe. And who would blame them, people are because building the at this point. (I means look at Lia). But I do think that the girls still have it, it’s just they’re not being paired with the right things. 2. Hybe Monopoly I think is an example of when you expand too quickly. I hope going forward we see some delay with it. Individual brand identity is really important. K-pop or just music in general is about authenticity. 3. The hip hop culture debate needs to be had because it’s so clear in who is actually genuine or not. It’s getting to a point where I rather not hear then it be done badly.

XG is the only group who know how to pull off hip hop without it being forced. They don’t add the extra fancy cars and big chains and call it hip hop. They understand the formula and add their own style while still being original and also it still being hip hop. I feel KOL can do this too. But they are still new so I’ll wait for them

Does someone know if S.Coups will do the same as for example Suga? Suga joined the duty as a social service agent, an alternative form of military service. I thought this was because he couldn't go to the military with his injured shoulder. Will S. Coups also do something like this?

Nope, he doesn't have to serve. But if war broke, he still would have to do some labor. He got grade 5: Those in grade 5 are required to perform labor in support of the military during wartime. Grade 6 is full exemption.. I guess Suga got grade 4.

But if one of their company decides to do unprofessional business it is hybe responsibility to take action. Hybe responsibility to its shareholders, investors, government,employees and artists

Omg are you serious? S.coups had hiatus for over one year because of his injury and surgery. He had to miss a lot of SVT major activities, and was frustated over it but still going strong. He is still promoting, yes, but don't you have eyes to see that he just on the stage for a few parts of the dance?? He only doing the dance moves that is not taxing. For example, on MAESTRO stage, we could see that he is hiding in the back when the rest performed the dance break part, which is the most taxing moves of the song. He is promoting, but not doing the things he previously can BECAUSE of the injury. Why don't you try to imagine if you're in his condition? Would you be going to military service with ACL injury???? That shit hurts, anyone with a working mind would know that he couldn't stand activities as heavy as military training.
