Just cause you love someone, you’re not entitled to them. They’re not a bad person for not wanting you, it hurts to know but if you don’t accept that your heart will never heal.

I know that and understand it's not their fault. It doesn't stop the fact that it's brutally painful that the one person you want to spend your life with the most doesn't want you equally. I'm depressed thinking about her every day even though she didn't want anything beyond friendship

@John It has gotten better thankfully. I realize she's a bad person whose values don't align with my own so I avoid her when I can. I am still extremely physically attracted to her which is a problem. I'm looking for a wife right now and I unfortunately compare them to her in terms of beauty and they always fall short

@@smellypatel5272s awful as it feels, avoiding her is the best thing. One day, it could be tomorrow, it could even be next year unfortunately,. But you will meet someone who you never expected in years, and this girl will be a distant memory. And as hard as it is, in my experience you don't find it while you're looking for it. The best thing to do is focus on the *right* people in your life, become the best person you can be and live and enjoy life for *you*. As long as it takes, and eventually it will find *you*. I hope that advice helps a little bit and i wish you the best

@@Bellend50000 thanks so much, even almost one year later and I still feel down seeing that girl. I unfortunately see her in some of the classes we have together. To make matters worse, she ended up dating one of my friends at school which has made me feel even worse about myself. I take some solace in the fact that she's a manipulative person and our values don't match, but the physical attraction element always makes it hurt. I have prayed so many times to God to give me that person you're talking about but my prayers have yet to be answered. I've gone through depressive phases as a result and I'm only now trying to get my life back together in order to focus on myself. Anyways sorry to ramble to an internet stranger but thank you anyways for listening

Nobody claims they are entitled nor do they hold resentment at the person. You are jumping to conclusions. You can still understand that its nobody's fault but still feel heartbroken. Its a legitimate and real emotion and it should be acknowledged by the individual.

Unrequited love hurts. I’m currently going through it. I’ve also experienced what I guess you can call unrequited friendships. You think they are a true friend but they are just knowing you for their own gain, not because they really care. That’s why I now choose to be alone. I wish that this unrequited love I have would go away. He is a very nice person and I’m so lonely that his kindness made me have feelings for him and I don’t want those feelings because they are not mutual.

I recently fell for a guy I work with and I confessed only find out he is taken and it hurts a lot, but truly I wish them the best because I know he has a lot home issues and if she makes him happy and makes him feel better then that's great. Sometimes your not right person for someone else even when their good for you. And you have realize that and let go because there is no other way

To anyone who reads this comment, there is someone out there who loves you. It may not always be the person you fell in love with, but someone out there who knows you or wants to know you has feelings for you. Who knows? It could even be the person you love. But that's how I see it. So have hope. There's no need to feel like the world is constantly unfair to you. Love will find a way to save you from suffering from feeling unrequited. Eventually you do find a gold or silver lining whether it be your first or second love.

I've been in love with my bestfriend since I was 9 yrs old. And everyday I cry bc ik he will never love me like that. He told me that he doesn't and I said I'm fine and I'm ok with it and we r still bestfriends but it hurts so much. And ik I have to stand by his side and be there for him as he falls in love with someone else bc that is what ppl who love someone do. This hit home been in love with my best friend, it’s weird at times she displays affection as more then friends other times just friends, I confessed my love to her which she declined then in a way months later she did the same but pulled back, been 4 months now we still talk and all but I’m not the same, she has been different too however talks to me about other guys, unsure whether she is trying to move past me? Or make me jealous, either way don’t think I can love someone else like her but hope is the only thing keeping me going really :(
