I realise that my language about "freedom" here is misleading, and stems from my particular philosophical conception of freewill (I am a bit of a compatibilist). It is important to note that Nietzsche does not believe in freewill as the ability to do otherwise. He instead saw things as a matter of strong and weak wills. This was an oversight on my part, as I am so used to a compatibilist definition of freewill, under which Nietzsche's concept of a strong will would involve having more freedom (where freedom means will aligning with reality). I apologise for any confusion caused.

As a result of my experience with power dynamics in the Orthodox Chruch, I made a personal quote - "I Love Humanity, but I deeply hate people" maybe one day I'll love people who's Value and Will align with mine..

Don't underestimate the genius of Nietzsche. His Genealogy of Morality was so insightful. So much of what he predicted has come to pass.

I feel like Nietzsche was just a very angry absurdist. He had every right to be angry, don’t get me wrong, but I think that’s more accurate than pure nihilism. I’m a proud absurdist, the more you can do what others won’t, to make yourself and others happy, helps even during the saddest and most lonely times in your life. I think is also important to think critically about the things we say "yes" to in life. Having an affirmative and creative doctrine also implies saying "no" to those things that limit our own potential and restraing ouserlfs from affirming life. Saying no in order to keep saying yes.

Verry well documented, and nicely explained. I think this knowledge should be explained on how the society should form based on it, and how we should behave that our own "bubble " can easily integrate with others. The "power" will come with this behavior. Its easy to talk about power when you have it,be it knowledge,a good environment, or a decent way of life, much difficult to create this concept when you're environment its harsh, and tries to put you down at every step. So maybe you will use youre knowledge and apply it to different behavior of our society. Keep up with being awesome!!!

This video is reminding to re-read certain of Nietzche's writings to determine if he believes in determinism and predestination, though maybe expressed with different terminology.

Ive been told that Nietche doesnt want us to go back to noble morality but rather wants us to be creative(bringing something new to the world) and creating our own values.

Awesome video! I particularly enjoyed your comparisons with other schools of thought (Stoicism, Buddhism). You did raise a big question in the end on the relationship of Nietzsche's unhapiness and the applicability of his advice. I'd love to hear arguments on this. In my opinion, the issue is that he is a destructive (as opposed to constructive) thinker as he tells us what *not* to do and not what to do, which perhaps is a question for the individual. Regardless, Nietzsche is and will remain sui generis. Thanks you!

Ruin your life? Try this, work really REALLY hard at something that has no purpose or direction, and when you start to question it, just work even HARDER. Tell yourself the struggle is worth it and you got a big pay day coming. Double down, triple down, no excuses, go hard or go home etc... remember, you don't have time for relationships or socializing. Just kerp working hard at this stupid task. Burn out is just around the corner. Wooo! Mission accomplished.

I may be missing something but, i think by perusing comfort you’ll go through hardships anyways, that will eventually either make you stronger or leave you completely broken It’s up to us to chose what to do with our current cultivation of experience But the key, in my opinion, is it’s necessary to be aware that any kind of hardship you go through is something that was needed, and shouldn’t be avoided to make you the best version of yourself Which is why we need to constantly remind ourselves of that, be cause i think it’s human nature to seek “comfort” or “easy ways”, which makes it inevitable.

I agree with almost all of this video and it is very well done, Nietzsche did address a lingering concern by acknowledging that each soul is at a different level with different drives and ambitions. I'm not sure anyone can be all things, at best we self reflect and guess our path. I found myself born into the same paradigm as Zarathustra in this lifetime and it has been a violent journey. I come to serve as a lightning rod for the societal herd and while awful at times, it has served in my unique development. Also agree with Nietzsche we are in some kind of time loop but our roles and development may advance until each of us is ready to put on the Zarathustra mask, but it becomes a tricky thing when you dig into the patterns, you wonder if that is you or if you've only immersed yourself in the part so completely like a method actor, that it's just another role but hopefully a graduating opportunity. I don't think you can see this from another role and decide to be it, but you have to be born into this "time out" life. To go to your room and think about what you've done, it's the best way to truly develop. I like to think we all make it, we all break out of the underworld but I don't know the answer. Being a part of the herd has its benefits, camaraderie, fellowship, protection, structure but I see it leaves souls wanting, there''s no finer thing than to learn to sail alone against the wind. And I think it was about this herd predicament and the responsibilities therein that led Thoreau to observe "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation." It's the cage and the herd that snuffs out our fire, almost all are born into this fate but also I believe each will have his moment in the sun to "Make your own kind of music"

I like what he said about the attachment to morality, I disagree about loving the pain. When you are obsessed with something it's not painful to work hard for it. Like if I love the pain of working a 9 to 5 I want ever stop working it, I'm just going to keep enduring it. I think falling in love with process striving for greatness is better.
