so id like to point some inconsistances in your research. Specifically Eltnum, as her Vorpal trait is several things. You are correct in that she can back dash cancel her normals while in vorpal, however she can back dash cancel 2 of her special moves, her 421B and her 214X series. Her other Vorpal trait is she can whiff cancel her 5A into itself and stronger buttons. For example: 5A(whiff)-5C is a very common practiced neutral tool when vorpal is up.

Gordeau main here. Um, about Gordeau's "removing a block of GRD from the opponent when his scythe hits raw". That's just what happens whenever you hit somebody outside of a combo, with any attack, and with any character. The initial hit takes away a block of GRD from the opponent, and any ensuing hits in the combo do not.

Few things you missed that I think should be mentioned (please do correct me if I'm wrong) Hyde while in vorpal also gets FF recovery speed increased and the charged FF is faster Linne while in vorpal gets her FF recovery speed increased but her invul duration decreases Carmine while in vorpal FF start up speed increased Should mention that Seth and Wagner can chain special moves as a vorpal trait (although Wagner cannot chain specials if one of the specials get shielded) Chaos can attack or charge grid even while Azhi is active I do like the fact you are helping out people, keep it up!

I know that when Orie is doing her ff without vorpal (not sure about with vorpal) if you are pressing the directional buttons, the distance which you travel is different based on what directional button is pressed. I'm not quite sure if that is considered as a character trait or not.

Does Gordeau get anything else from Vorpal? If not it seems kinda weird that he has so many ways to steal GRD when the only specific benefit he gets is a couple less frames of startup and a little more range on one move (that I don’t really see used often iirc). Granted, Vorpal does a bunch of other non-character-specific things, but I’d love to hear the benefits of beefing up nails. Also RIP Mika. Hopefully CLR gives her a Vorpal trait.

Thanks for the guide I was looking for a good fighting game to get into mainly because a friend of mine was trying get me to play SFV but I wasn't enjoying and I like the fact this game is very anime and seems kinda underrated to be honest. My only question is any good idea who to use as a main character for a beginner like myself?

i was originally going to say that you could counter hit vatista, but i wanted to confirm that myself to make sure i'm not crazy. not that it matters anyway, because even if u somehow do get a counter hit on her, you can't really do much from it...being countered yourself

I love how the game rewards you for being more aggressive. Gives players more incentive to go in rather then trying to cheese matches.

I'm not gonna lie, calling most of this stuff a character trait and not just a move or a move's properties just makes this game more complicated than it is.

Calling some of the things mentioned "character traits" seems a little weird Thanatos is just a visual for specials. Sure, no character other than Orie has those specials but that's every special in the game. Chaos being able to move Ahzi Dahaka is also just a way to control it. There's no universal mechanic that prevents him from doing so and there is no extra rule implemented here that would make controlling Ahzi by going forward any different from Chaos' other specials.

Waldstein’s Vorpal Trait sucks because his FF sucks. Wald’s FF is only good if someone (read: a newbie) doesn’t know how to block or is whiffing moves at half-to-full screen, character specific of course.

What the hell is this character trait nonsense? What's the source of any of this information? It sounds like you're just picking out abilities or unique functions of the characters and giving them a name as if it's a mechanic, then erroneously saying it doesn't apply to all the characters. This is like borderline misinformation, my dude.
