It is an astonishing car! CLEARLY an Italian body design. Beautiful work by Italdesign! While not as fast as a Tesla Plaid, and about the same as the Lucid Air Grand Touring, this is an EV that's a fashion plate so to speak. Gullwing doors retained and beautiful, not gawdy, (Cadillac Lyriq), use of LED's, this car will turn heads standing still or driving down the road. This is a real wower!

More like between the Dodge Charger EV and the N vision 74. Those or two unique designs this design is good looking, but generic and the front headlights are actually pretty ugly.

Nice looking car. Not sure I would want to pay $175K for it though. The design could pay more homage to the original DMC-12. The Hyundai N Vision 74 looks more like what a new-age Delorean should’ve looked like.

Great close ups on this video. Thanks for the walk through. It looks much better in person than a computer rendering. The lines are clean and accessories like lights and all flow very well. Wondering, is leather no longer a "thing" in the future? Maybe it's not eco friendly sustainable enough lol.. As for the legacy connection, people just need to get over it, this is a new era for Delorean, not intended to duplicate the past. I know some were expecting a modern copy of the past, but those people just need to enjoy the Classic DMC and let everyone else move forward. Although I have no doubt that they have a 2 seater in secret development for a future release one day.

I’m really just not into the design. I know it’s not really a successor to our cars but when I see something like the Hyundai: Concept 74, which totally looks like a retro modern DMC12, I just think the Alpha is missed opportunity. “Modern futuristic” designs with a ton of curves aren’t really appealing anymore, I need some boxy sharp body lines.

It’s just like watching the morning news when they say “Studies show that drinking coffee can extend your life by 10 years.” Then a week later it’s “Studies show people who drink coffee are at risk for early death.” My favorite is the debunked statement that electric cars are more polluting that gas cars. And you’re right many are sponsored by oil companies.

Truly I would not have recognized it as a Delorean without the nameplate. Only things which reminds me of the older one would be the doors and the slatted rear window. Not sure why they made it so much different..

It actually looks a lot like the DMC24 concept designs by Giugiaro, which is what they were going for. However nothing will ever look as good as the DMC-12

I agree 100%. The Hyundai N Vision 74 looks like a modern day Delorean. Too bad the N Vision 74 is a hydrogen-electric car instead of a Battery-electric car.

Absolutely. Part of the genius of gullwing doors is you only need 14" of clearance from another car to fully open the doors. Try parking 14" from another car or even a wall and try to open the doors and get in with traditional cars doors. With a DeLorean, including the Alpha5, it's actually possible!

A British garagist by the name of Stephen Wynne bought the remaining assets of the company when it went bankrupt sometime in the 90's and created a company called Delorean Motors Reimagined. This is the company's vehicle

I love the looks. But it will fail because of stupidity. They try to enter a hyper competitive market which is hard to survive in and they focus on paddleshifters and rev counter on an EV (small stupidity), lights in the dash to light up when you drive in the direction of a preset point (big stupidity) or useless connectivity solutions like "i show you people in your sat nav that you didn´t visit for ages (big stupidity). Hopefully someone buys the design and makes it work.

There isn't an old version. This is the first car this company has made. If you're talking about the DMC-12, you should look at the new Model JZD. That's the new DeLorean that we care about.

The real history of the cars my father made and the new Model JZD made by his daughter’s engineers are on the DeLoreanLegacy web page and my channel. My father would not appreciate the lies this company is telling about his history, it’s a shame how the are treating his story and trying to change it and I don’t know why.

Ideally the cars will fund the programs that give back to communities. The more we make and sell, the more schools, parks and programs we fund…at least that’s what My Dream is 😄

After all these years, your camera panning technique still needs to be slowed down. Your "quick looks" are too quick. Let the camera stop for a moment, so the viewer can actually look at the subject of your focus - the detail.

Indeed! I used my cell phone this time as well -- not the best for this type of camera work. Plus the 6+ hour drive up just moments before filming had me needing a nap but the show must go on... (excuses I know 🙂

A superb exterior apart from the hugely ugly wheels and let down by a rather prosaic cabin with little visual appeal. Why can't they learn from the experts at Bentley and Jaguar (Not Rolls who have simply no idea when it comes to taste). Also why fill the vehicle wit all this electronic crap which is totally unnecessary and solely to attract tech geeks but put off drivers?
