Perfect starting projects. I can actually do this : ). So thankful your lil dude tested negative. My daughter's stupid ex gave it to the baby on his first visitation. My daughter got it and then her uncle where she was staying got it and he ended up in the hospital. Nasty bugger!

Yeah, it’s really strange now with the Delta variant. I’m glad his school is being cautious. He just had a quick 2 day cold but it was right after his teacher had it. So sorry your grand baby got it! I hope everyone’s ok now. Darn Covid is so contagious.

Yes! When I gift these I’ll add a little handwritten tag with the soap recipe on the bottle for the holidays. Maybe I’ll do a video on holiday diy dotted gift ideas. That will be fun. ❤️

I was curious ~ how much water is added to the water color paint? I don't want to mess up at step #1 😀

Literally, just a drop. Just enough to make your watercolor somewhat moist. You want a dry sponge brush. Check out the example on black paper in the video to see what I mean. It shouldn't be too watery or it will run. 👍

I think this was great! I am curious as to why you didn't remove the labels rather than painting over them? Your explanation is some of the best, now I really want to try dotting! Thanks 😊

Those labels are glued down with some seriously industrial strength glue so they don’t peel which is fine with me. I think they take the paint better than the plastic would.

For the base coat, could you use a spray paint? It seems like that would be easier.

No . You cannot replace watercolour with acrylic paint because you can’t remove if at the end . The watercolour is just to use as a guide .

No the acrylic will bond to the plastic while the watercolor is temporary. So just what Elizabeth said😊 The stencil just gets wiped off after you use it.

I was thinking that I might try to use acrylic in the stencil, as part of the design...and then dot over it. I think that might be interesting.

Do you mean the blank bottles or painted bottles? I don’t sell either, but if you need some I might have extras. Honestly the soaps are so inexpensive, you can find them on sale for $3 and then you’ll have the bottles to paint.
